Maintaining a secure perimeter is the first line of defense against potential threats.
Towards that end, Ameristar Perimeter Security, a new competitor in the 2018 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program, with multiple product nominations covering a range of applications, is pleased to announce the company’s Impasse II has been nominated to compete.
An Impasse II palisade fence serves as a visual deterrent backed with heavy steel components that give a higher level of protection compared to the traditional chain link or architectural mesh fence alternatives.

Impasse II is the best choice for securing at risk facilities or protecting specific assets within a property.
The Impasse II palisade fence is also available in Anti-Scale spacing.
This option decreases the pale spacing to deter the assailant from climbing and increase the delay time when trying to cut or pry through the fence.
To further increase delay time from a possible perimeter breach, expanded metal fillers can be positioned between the pales and rails, allowing the facility more time to react.
AESTHETIC APPEAL. UNPARALLELED PROTECTION.
Traditional security fences of chain link or wire mesh are no longer enough to meet todays increased security demands.
Ameristar’s Impasse II security fence offers the resistive strength of heavy-duty steel pales secured vertically to a framework of specially formed rails and I-beam posts.
Impasse II panels and posts are manufactured using high-tensile pre-galvanized G-90 steel.
Each component has been roll-formed into a unique profile that yields significant strength properties.
Impasse II’s distinct design enables the fence to traverse aggressive changes in grade in order to maintain security along any perimeter.
Each connection point of the Impasse II system is secured with tamper-proof fasteners providing the highest level of security & versatility.
The stylish design of the Impasse II, combined with its strength and security, provides a successful first line of defense.
The Impasse II framework is designed to be a raceway for wiring, conduits & security cabling required around the perimeter of a project.
This integrated design eliminates the need for costly trenching & boring becoming a value added solution for perimeter security upgrades.
Impasse II is also available on GSA Schedule and has been SAFETY Act Certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Additionally, Impasse II is protected by the unique PermaCoat powder coating process to provide resistance from weathering and reduce scratch and burnishing marks.
The company’s pre-galvanized steel base material is subjected to an 11-stage process to cleanse & prepare the steel for a dual top-coat finish.
PermaCoat’s corrosion resistant capabilities far surpass those of painted surfaces and have a “no-mar” polyester powder top coat.
This dual coating not only provides RESISTANCE FROM WEATHERING but also reduces scratch & burnishing marks typically encountered during shipping.

Ameristar’s Impasse and Matrix are the first coated systems designed to minimize the system impedance to comply with IEEE grounding requirements.
No additional grounding material, beyond the structure grounding lug installation, is required to create low resistance and safe fence system.
By way of fence construction the entire fence system is inherently grounded without the need for any additional work. Grounding location at the post is for taking the fence system to site ground.
This breakthrough allows power utility companies to provide a site with the level of security and safety needed as well as providing an appealing look that will not detract from its surroundings.
Ameristar is America’s only architectural metal fencing manufacturer who controls the manufacturing processes and all quality criteria from receipt of raw material to completion of finished product, completely within its own facilities.

Their integrated in-house process & extensive raw material inventory results in much improved productivity and availability compared to the competition. By having a vast finished goods inventory, Ameristar is capable of delivering finished products faster than competitors who sublet the majority of their operations.
