ASR Alert Systems, a new competitor in the 2019 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program, is pleased to announce the ASR Alert System, has been selected as a Finalist.

ASR Alert Systems is a state of the art security technology specializing in the field of threat and medical alert notifications to Law Enforcement, First Responders and those individuals within the building or organization in the event of a crisis.

ASR Alert Systems is currently installed in schools, universities, places of worship, distribution warehouses and city halls.

(Cutting edge technology melded with training and partnerships with first responders is critical to creating a proactive approach to the threat of active shooters. ASR bridges the gap by empowering our clients with a voice, without the need to make time consuming 911 calls under duress. Courtesy of ASR Alert Systems and YouTube.)

The company’s proprietary “Direct to Dispatch” capability along with our “Direct Text” to first responders is currently being used in Florida, Indiana and Virginia.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Emergency Presented

An emergency or threat presents itself in your business or establishment. Immediate action is needed to tend to the situation at hand as the clock is ticking.

System Is Activated

The ASR Alert System is activated via one of the stationary wall-mounted activation points or mobile pendant lanyards. Sirens and strobes are initiated to alert personnel and to disorient the active shooter/assailant.

Instant Alerts Begin

Upon initiation, all personnel within the organization, as well as local law enforcement, will receive immediate emergency alerts via text and email notifications.

Quick Response

The nearest law enforcement personnel will be able to move quickly to neutralize the threat and tend to the emergency at hand.

The ASR Alert System saves time by providing the exact location of the threat as well as images from the system cameras.

The Remote Alert System (RAS) alert notification system is designed to immediately notify any individual and/or end-user the client designates.

The Remote Alert System is portable and functions in the same manner as the company’s Threat Alert System (TAS) and Medical Alert System (MAS) systems.

The RAS is designed to be operational on short notice with easy activation and set-up.

Notifications are engaged with mobile lanyard buttons.

For entities and companies that desire an added layer of protection for their security personnel, clients and customers as they change venues, the RAS is a revolutionary, cost-effective solution.

This system aids in shortening law enforcement and/or medical response time and provides instant communication to those facing an Active Threat or crisis situation, so they may commence with their emergency protocols and ultimately mitigate losses.

(President of ASR, Hector Delgado speaks with News 25 about the ASR System, and how it can help protect lives in schools, businesses, and other establishments. Courtesy of ASR Alert Systems and YouTube.)

Ideal applications to benefit:

  • Commercial Buildings

  • U.S. Govt & Municipal Buildings

  • Churches

  • Airports

  • Port Facilities

  • Hospitals

  • Universities

  • Schools

  • Train Stations

  • Gyms

  • Ambulatory Facilities

In today’s age where due diligence is a must, this system aids in shortening law enforcement response time and provides instant communication to those facing an Active Threat, so they may commence with their emergency protocols and ultimately mitigate losses.

Increasingly, states are adopting Alyssa’s Law which requires panic alarms to be installed in schools with the capability to contact 911/First responders directly in the event of an active killer.

Alyssa’s Law was named after 14 year old Alyssa Alhadeff, who lost her life in the Stoneman Douglas School shooting.

Investigation of the tragedy found that insufficient response time was found to be a contributing factor in the loss of life.

(To better equip New Jersey schools to handle potential security emergencies such as an active shooter threat, school safety legislation sponsored by Assembly Democrats Ralph Caputo and Jamel Holley was signed into law by Gov. Phil Murphy. Courtesy of New Jersey Assembly Democrats and YouTube. Posted on Feb 6, 2019.)

As stated, Alyssa’s Law would require all public elementary and secondary schools to install either silent panic alarms or alternative emergency mechanisms approved by The Department of Education.

To learn more about Alyssa’s Law and the organization behind it, please visit the Make Our Schools Safe website.

ASR Alert Systems is one of the first in the nation to answer this need.

Knowing that companies like ASR with this capability will benefit from laws and mandates that will be passed in the future, ASR has engaged with not-for-profits that are affecting change to enhance safety and security in their educational institutions to provide financial support for every ASR system that is installed in schools.
