The C-AUDS Containerized Counter-UAS System is designed to detect, track, identify, and defeat hostile unmanned aerial vehicles from Liteye Systems, is designed to disrupt and neutralize Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) engaged in hostile airborne surveillance and potentially malicious activity.

Countering the threat caused by rogue drones is now a global issue and an increasing concern for the military, government and homeland security forces across every continent.

To address these threats, Liteye Systems, a US leader in Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems, who was recently awarded Two Platinum Awards in the 2019 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program, is opening a new 55,000 square foot facility in Highfield Business Park, near Centennial Airport, CO to accommodate rapid growth and support increasing manufacturing demands.

C-AUDS is a containerized, multi-layered capability system to detect, track, identify, and defend against rogue drones, is Liteye’s newest offering in the counter unmanned defense market.

(The AUDS system combines electronic-scanning radar target detection, electro-optical (EO) tracking, classification and directional RF inhibition capability. AUDS is a smart-sensor and effector package capable of remotely detecting small UAS and then tracking and classifying them before providing the option to disrupt their activity. C-AUDS is based on the combat proven technology first fielded in 2016 and was instrumental in defeating enemy drones in Iraq’s battle of Mosul, and Liteye has continuously been adding more systems to new locations in support of these ongoing efforts.

The C-AUDS containerized systems features a state-of-the-art operator suite, hardened for use in any climate.

It’s portability, and even more importantly its remote operation and networking capabilities provides for an operations center that can be scaled to meet multiple types of mission and location requirements.

The platform’s innovative design allows for the ability to “bolt on” new technologies in the future as threats evolve in field.

This provides the C-AUDS with almost unlimited ability to keep evolving to meet the threat.

In addition to Liteye’s Counter Unmanned Defense System), the company specializes in Drone Sense and Warn Systems, rugged, high-resolution, head mounted displays (HMD), micro imaging viewfinders, thermal surveillance systems, convert surveillance systems, electronic warfare packages, radar systems, and fire control software solutions.

The AUDS Counter-UAS System is designed to detect, track, identify, and defeat hostile unmanned aerial vehicles.

Liteye’s Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CUAS) Defense Technology combines electronic-scanning radar target detection, electro-optical (EO) tracking, classification and directional RF inhibition capability.

CUAS is a smart-sensor and effector package capable of remotely detecting small UAS and then tracking and classifying them before providing the option to disrupt their activity.

Their Anti-Drone products may be used in remote or urban areas to prevent UASs being used for terrorist attacks, espionage or other malicious activities against sites with critical infrastructure.

The continued advances in unmanned aerial vehicle or drone technology, and it’s use for malicious activity, has profound implications for national security, military, border security, critical infrastructure, prisons, airports, commercial and civilian life. Liteye’s CUAS or Counter-UAS Air Defense products have been developed to answer the growing need for effective Anti-Drone solutions in this rapidly changing environment.

CUAS not only works to cover your airspace, but also as a ground surveillance system as well.

All brought together in USA by Liteye Systems, who integrates, installs, and trains operators out of their Colorado facility.

US Air Force has ordered over $42 million dollars worth of Liteye CUAS systems to date, and the company’s new commercial version is being integrated into airports, seaports, boarder facilities and other high valued critical infrastructure locations.

In addition to Liteye Systems corporate headquarters in Centennial, CO and the company’s UK office, the new facility will bring the company’s office and manufacturing footprint to over 80,000 square feet and supports the company’s growth strategy.

Liteye also added 21 jobs in 2019 and plans to hire for 20 more positions over the next year.

Liteye, founded by Kenneth Geyer and Tom Scott in January of 2000, is now ranked as one of the leading privately held companies in Colorado, with over $70M in counter drone contracts with the US Department of Defense (DoD)

Liteye Systems are Combat Proven claiming over 1000 confirmed defeats against enemy drones by ISIS, Taliban and others.

“When Liteye started we designed and manufactured small products, such as Head Mounted Displays and covert thermal cameras,” explained Geyer, who is the company’s CEO.

“As the company grew and evolved into the counter unmanned systems market, the need for square footage and taller ceilings to house multiple vehicles, trailers and shipping containers on a production line to meet customer demands became necessary.”

“Like most companies, in the beginning we focused mainly on the engineering portion, subcontracting the manufacturing and assembly of our products outside the company,” said Thomas Scott, Liteye CTO.

“As our military business grew, we brought both those capabilities inside the company to meet MIL-STD requirements and fast delivery times.”

“It started with just one CNC machine and has been growing ever since, where today we have a state-of-the-art machine shop and full production floor.”
