Automatic Systems, a world leader in the automation of secure entrance control equipment for pedestrian & vehicle access, and the Platinum Award Winner for Best Pedestrian Entrance Control in the 2018 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program, is pleased to announce SlimLite, the newest member of the SlimLane family of swing glass optical turnstiles, has been nominated to compete in the 2019 ‘ASTORS’ Awards Program.

SlimLite is designed to meet the needs of value-oriented projects.

The SlimLane family of products already features a wide variety of models geared towards various security levels, architectural designs, and site footprint requirements.

The addition of SlimLite now brings in a choice for the security designer who needs the SlimLane pedigree in a slightly “lighter” version. 

The SlimLite is expected to fill the market need that had previously been underserved by the current SlimLane product range.

The new SlimLite will come as standard with black powder coated steel cabinet and 3/8” thick tempered swing glass obstacles.

The mechanism’s direct drive DC motor, as is typical with SlimLanes, offers a much greater reliability than competitors’ rod-driven systems.

SlimLite also follows the SlimLane design for superior tailgate/piggyback detection, battery back-up, mechanical security locking, as well as lighted pictograms (red/green/white).

The power consumption is an environmentally-friendly 40w at rest. Seamless prox reader integration is available.

The product is modular; both standard and ADA accessible lane widths are available and can be combined into lane sets.

Optional features include Qscan barcode reader integration, Smart ‘n Slim server/touchscreen, glass height options, logo etching, and alternative RAL colored cabinets.

SlimLite can be ordered beginning October 1, 2019, with lead times for new orders anticipated to be 8 weeks.

The standard warranty is 2 years. Both UL 2593 certification and IP connectivity is included. On-site factory commissioning is available as typical with Automatic Systems products. Lifetime remote technical support is standard.
