Chicago Stock Exchange Switches to AlertMedia for Critical Comm

The Chicago Stock Exchange (CHX), an integral part of the National Market System, is utilizing AlertMedia’s two-way mass notification system to enhance and improve communications with stock exchange members and staff around critical events, system updates, and market changes.

AlertMedia has modernized mass communications by delivering an easy-to-use software platform that helps organizations communicate around any event.

Organizations such as CHX use AlertMedia’s web and mobile applications to interact with their audience from any device, over any communication channel, such as voice call, text, native mobile apps, email, social media, and Slack, keeping their people safe and informed with just a few clicks.

Prior to implementing AlertMedia, CHX was searching for a better way to easily and quickly send notifications to traders and members around system issues and updates.

“We need to notify our users quickly if we are experiencing system issues. Our previous notification system was slow and more complex than it needed to be,” said Christopher Boldt, Director of Technology Process and System Integrity for the Chicago Stock Exchange.

“With AlertMedia, we can send out notifications quickly with just a couple of clicks.”“

While CHX implemented AlertMedia to notify users about system statuses, the platform’s simple interface and painless onboarding process encouraged CHX to expand how it uses the communication tool.

CHX now uses AlertMedia to communicate less urgent, yet still imperative, information about system upgrades.

CHX will also be enabling the platform’s ability to send group specific information via text messages for internal communications.

“AlertMedia’s customer service and attentiveness has been outstanding, starting with implementation, which was seamless,” continued Boldt continued.

“When we switched, we exported our contacts to Excel and sent the file to AlertMedia.”

“Our customer success representative reformatted the data as needed and imported it into the AlertMedia platform. We were up and running in no time.”

With innovative technology and a modern emergency notification system, AlertMedia has taken a leadership position in the critical communications market.
