Dahua Technology USA Wins New Product of the Year (Multi-Video)

Dahua Technology USA, a leading manufacturer of video surveillance solutions, has been honored with a New Product of the Year award from Security Today for its 4K HDCVI fisheye camera.

Dahua’s 4K HDCVI fisheye is the first HD-over-coax fisheye with 4K (8MP) resolution.

The camera combines three innovative technologies: fisheye, 4K, and HDCVI.

Delivering a 360-degree hemispherical view, the fisheye provides broad coverage with no blind spots, as well as multiple dewarping modes to view individual elements separately.

4K resolution improves the clarity of a magnified scene to view or record crisp forensic video from a large field of view.

4K HDCVI

Available in box-, dome- and bullet-style housings, the 4K HDCVI cameras boast 8MP resolution at 15 frames per second and can be paired with X58A Ultra Series or C52A Pro Series HDCVI recorders for a complete solution.

Other features include:

  • 5-year warranty (for authorized resellers only)
  • Starlight technology to produce clear images in near complete darkness (box camera)
  • Advanced 3D noise reduction
  • Extended transmission range
  • 140dB WDR (box camera)
  • 120dB WDR (dome and bullet)
  • 3.7-11mm motorized lenses (dome and bullet)
  • IR illumination up to 164 feet (dome) and 328 feet (bullet)
  • IP67 / IK10 enclosure (dome and bullet)

HDCVI Multi-sensor

Wide panoramic views are now possible with HD over coax solutions thanks to Dahua’s HDCVI multi-sensor IR camera.

The camera features three individual 2MP sensors in an all-in-one IP67 weather resistant indoor/outdoor housing.

It achieves up to 1640 foot transmission distance over RG59 coaxial cable.

A single HDCVI multi-sensor provides the same coverage that would typically be provided by multiple standard cameras.

This provides several benefits:

  • 5-year warranty (for authorized resellers only)
  • Reduced installation time and maintance
  • Increased operator efficiency

HDCVI provides high-definition and ultra-high-definition images over coaxial cable, at transmission distances of up to 300m (985.25 feet) over CAT6.

Allowing users to maximize their investment in an analog infrastructure while enjoying the high-quality images and functionality typical to a network video surveillance system.

HDCVI simultaneously transmits three signals (video, audio, and data) over a single coaxial cable, and dual-way data transmission allows the HDCVI camera to communicate with an HDCVI DVR to send control signals or to trigger alarms.

“The high performance and cost advantages of HDCVI have brought high-definition video surveillance to a vast set of budget-conscious end users who would have otherwise had to wait for an upgrade to IP,” stated Janet Fenner, head of marketing for Dahua USA.

“We are thrilled to further serve the market with this fisheye addition to our 4K HDCVI line.”

Dahua will be presented with the New Product of the Year award at this year’s ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits.

“The New Product of the Year contest gives us a terrific sampling of security solutions, but what is more amazing each year is the technical savvy that comes along with new products,” remarked Ralph Jensen, editor-in-chief of Security Today, on the cutting-edge technology of this year’s winners.

“New Product of the Year allows forward-thinking manufacturers to be able to share their vision of security.”

You can visit Dahua in booth 4145 at the ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits in Dallas, Texas, September 26- 28, and see the 4K HDCVI fisheye along with other new and innovative products from Dahua.
