With the increasing incidents of gun violence and the horrific mass shootings of the last dozen years, many people asking more than ever, what can be done to protect those in their employ, students in their districts, patients at their hospitals, visitors to their businesses?

The epidemic of gun-violence is seen in hospital emergency rooms around the country each day and the tragic losses mount everyday everywhere we look.

Thankfully, there is a new and innovative wireless gunshot detection technology that can drastically reduce the time it takes for law enforcement and first responders to locate and neutralize an active shooter threat.

EAGL System
The EAGL System is now eligible for purchase through the Homeland Security Grant Program

The Emergency Automatic Gunshot Lockdown System (EAGL) System provides rapid Access Control and Notification features when an active shooter event occurs.

These automatic and autonomous features can be integrated with existing systems providing a cost-effective solution to protect lives, dramatically reduce law enforcement incident response time and positively influence incident consequences by providing law enforcement with live stream video of shooter location and ballistic data.

Results:  Increasing citizen & first responder survivability while decreasing risk!

The EAGL System uses the “FireFly®” 433MHz wireless ballistic sensors developed by the Department of Energy (DoE) to analyze waveform and energy level to identify and differentiate gunshots from other deafening sounds such as thunder and sirens to prevent false alarms – and immediately activate a pre-programmed response.

The building layout shows the shooter location with ballistic data and immediately notifies law enforcement and other emergency responders through email and text messages.

EAGL can also integrate with facility access control to lockdown soft target areas within seconds, live stream video from IP cameras nearest the shooter, and activate alerts on public address, mass communication, and local emergency notification systems.

EAGL TechnologyThese functions are performed, automatically and autonomously, all within seconds of a detected threat event.

The EAGL system is web based with an open architecture and can easily integrate with most any building security systems, EOCs, RTCC or GSOCs and can be monitored or administered from anywhere in the world.

The EAGL Gunshot Detection and Lockdown System promotes scalability for Access Control protocols & Notification features allowing rapid incident response while minimizing negative impacts to critical infrastructure.

The EAGL System can also perform remote monitoring using low or solar power input for oil and gas industry applications.

Other industry segments deploying the EAGL System would also benefit by having an additional cost-effective layer of security for areas requiring substantial security coverage.

The founder of EAGL Technology, Boaz Raz, packaged the sensor in a small, durable and easy to install case that can be mounted almost anywhere as there is no need for expensive wiring and labor or additional hardware.

The ceiling mount FireFly® indoor wireless GSL device has a radius detection area of over 31,000 square feet and is able to cover a classroom, lobby, high crime area or metro transit stop.

EAGLE recently unveiled the DragonFly™ sensor which represents a paradigm shift in outdoor gunshot detection technology.

The DragonFly® sensor uses an Internet of Things (IOT) radio to communicate through the LTE network thus eliminating any need for infrastructure at the site, and features allow both on-site or remote monitoring applications which are useful in many industry segments including public safety.

The FireFly® and DragonFly™ gunshot detection devices have a seven-year battery life and are enclosed in a tamper proof IP66 enclosure.

The EAGL system is protected by an unprecedented 3 year warranty.
