More than 20,000 attendees saw the latest high security equipment, services and IT solutions. HySecurity showed its best of class anti-ram vehicle barriers and high security industrial gate security solutions.
“Excellent show,” said Jeremy Brummels, HySecurity Business Development Manager.
“We sat down with government, petrochemical, and data center end users, and many security integrators in this marathon three-day exhibition.
“We showcased the ease of sequencing three HySecurity operators; in this case our StrongArm™ M30 crash barrier arm, a SlideDriver™ slide gate, and a HydraWedge™ SM50, then viewed all operations in real time on a web browser with HyNet™.”

***The HydraWedge SM50, a next generation, crash-tested anti-terrorist wedge, defends high security sites worldwide with proven reliability and unparalleled performance, is a competitor in the ‘Best Perimeter Barrier/Deterrent System of the 2016 AST Homeland Security Awards ‘ASTORS’ Program.

“We also showed the additional security addition of supplementing HySecurity operators with a UPS backup,” said Richard Woltjer, VP of Marketing.
“We unplugged the StrongArm M30 mid-cycle and HySecurity’s AC Power Supply with HyInverter™ took over immediately. That wowed attendees as the operator slowed for an instant and cycled at normal speed on battery backup.”
HydraSupply XL automates any Wedge
HySecurity’s HydraSupply XL™ also turned heads.
“Yes,” said Woltjer. “HySecurity engineered the HydraSupply XL to easily meet the specifications of almost any competitor’s wedge.”
Literally hundreds of installed wedges with failing HPUs can function perfectly with HySecurity’s extremely low maintenance retrofit HPU, HydraSupply XL.
That means that problem wedges get a new life at a fraction of the cost of replacing the original manufacturer’s HPU one expensive piece at a time.
“And when you call HySecurity, we answer! HySecurity is highly accessible with industry leading customer service, installation and tech support. That’s what ushered us into the anti-ram vehicle barrier business,” says Woltjer.
“ASIS was a terrific show,” said John Allen, HySecurity Brand Manager. HydraWedge and HydraSupply XL received a lot of attention.
But we also showcased how adding the HyNet can improve perimeter security by providing real time assessments and alerts. We connected with lots of old and new friends, and the crash test videos are always a crowd pleaser.”
Next year’s 63rd ASIS Annual Exhibition and Exhibits is scheduled for September 26-28, in Dallas, Texas.
