With InformaCast alert software from Singlewire, organizations can connect people when and where it matters. When an emergency occurs, the mass notification system helps keep people safe and informed, everywhere, every time.

Singlewire Software, a leading mass notification technology developer recognized in the 2018 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program, is pleased to announce the company’s InformaCast Fusion hybrid cloud notification platform has been nominated to compete in the 2019 ‘ASTORS’ Program.

InformaCast Fusion, a powerful mass notification system, helps organizations reach on-premises and mobile devices through a single web interface.

It provides better speed and reach than more common mass SMS text messaging service because it can deliver to an entire ecosystem of devices including mobile phones, desk phones, desktop computers, digital signage, overhead paging systems, and IP speakers.

It allows users to define groups which can include law enforcement, first responders and emergency services so they receive an alert that an emergency is taking place at the time as the rest of an organization.

InformaCast Fusion includes 911 CallAware which triggers an alert anytime 911 is called within a building.

The alert can include the name of the device that dialed 911.

This helps administrators provide better directions to first responders when they arrive.

911 ALERTING – CALLAWARE

CallAware® for InformaCast® monitors the calls that come into Communications Manager.

When a call is made to a number that CallAware has been configured to monitor (e.g. 911), the call recording software will record it and trigger a text/audio mass notification to any supported InformaCast device (IP phones, analog/IP speakers, desktops, etc.)

InformaCast helps extend the reach of communications tools already in place, reducing costs and saving time.
InformaCast helps extend the reach of communications tools already in place, reducing costs and saving time.

For example, the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District (MCPASD) is a large district located in a suburb of Madison, Wisconsin, serves approximately 7,000 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12.

The district includes 10 school facilities and three non-school facilities, and is geographically dispersed across eight municipalities, three law enforcement agencies, two fire department districts, and two EMS agencies.

Singlewire’s InformaCast mass notification software allowed MCPASD to create a centralized, easy-to-use system for targeted communication.

Additionally, the system allows MCPASD administrators and staff to lock down their schools, send an emergency notification to key staff when 911 is dialed, call for assistance from classrooms, send district-wide weather alerts, and provide extra protection for their receptionists.

InformaCast also helps the district streamline their operations, schedule bells, and coordinate communication through advanced paging capabilities.
