Laredo Border Patrol Nabs Bank Robbery Subjects (Learn More, Video)

On February 6, 2018, U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested six subjects following in a bank robbery in Laredo, Texas.

Border Patrol agents were placed on high alert after receiving information from the Laredo Police Department of a robbery in progress in Laredo, Texas.

Less than an hour later, Agents at the Border Patrol Checkpoint on Highway 59 encountered a black Toyota Camry at the primary inspection lane.

The driver and four passengers were referred to secondary inspection after a Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle and matching the description of a lookout from the Laredo Police Department.

Upon further search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of $88,220.00 in currency located inside the trunk.

The driver and four passengers, all United States Citizens, were arrested.

A sixth person was also arrested at the Border Patrol Checkpoint in connection with the bank robbery.

The subjects, currency and two vehicles were turned over to the Laredo Police Department.
