The LRAD 950RXL, LRAD Corporation’s latest addition to its award winning Long Range Acoustic Hailing System (AHD) product line, has been nominated to compete in the 2017 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards program.
Engineered and designed on LRAD’s new proprietary pan and tilt system, the LRAD 950RXL provides integrated surveillance, security & response for ships, borders, ports and critical infrastructure.

Remotely Operated Security & Response System
The LRAD 950RXL is based on a remotely operated LRAD system that won a 2016 competitive bid from the U.S. Navy to add Situational Awareness Systems capabilities on Military Sealift Command ships as well as other U.S. Navy and Coast Guard vessels.
Controlled remotely across an IP network, the LRAD 950RXL is a fully functional, unmanned perimeter communication, security and first response system.
The LRAD 950RXL achieves a maximum output of 156dB and broadcasts highly intelligible voice messages and warning tones out to 3,000 meters.
Featuring an integrated HD camera, a high-intensity, 12 million candlepower searchlight (optional) and a robust, IP-addressable full pan and tilt drive for precise aiming and tracking, the LRAD 950RXL can also be integrated with radar to provide automated intruder alerts.
The included LRAD Controller software monitors and provides detailed 950RXL health diagnostics. It also enables command and control of all LRAD 950RXL functions including camera zoom controls, full system movement, and remotely broadcasted warning tones and live or prerecorded voice messages.
LRAD Corporation’s Long Range Acoustic Device product line assists land and sea-based military and security personnel to determine the intent of a potential threat at safe distances, providing operators time and distance to scale their response based on a threat’s actions.
LRAD uses directionality and focused acoustic output to clearly transmit critical information, instructions and warnings to targets up to 3000 meters away.
LRAD can be manually operated or integrated into a remotely controlled security network’s command and control centers.
By remotely-operating the IP-addressable system, LRAD operators minimize their exposure to arms fire while deploying the powerful directed sound device.
LRAD is being deployed in applications from assisting police and emergency responders to combating terrorists and taking back the seas from 21st Century pirates.
