This year’s Training Conference will feature two highly anticipated seminars, to be presented by St. Louis County Police Department Chief Jon Belmar, and FBI Special Agent (Ret.) Michael Bret Hood of 21st Century Learning & Consulting, LLC.

Chief Belmar will be presenting the first seminar, entitled “Ferguson, Missouri: Providing Effective Leadership in a Crisis Situation” on Tuesday, June 27th.

Chief Belmar’s presentation will include the lessons learned following the events in Ferguson and how police leaders can prepare for similar events in their communities.

FBI Special Agent (Ret.) Michael Bret Hood of 21st Century Learning & Consulting, LLC.

The second seminar, “Sustaining Motivation by Being a Transformational Leader”, will be conducted by SA Hood.

During the interactive presentation, participants will learn ways to leverage automatic human behaviors to increase employee engagement and intrinsic motivation.

The Association’s Installation Banquet will be held on Wednesday, June 28.

A highlight of the Installation Banquet is the presentation of the NJ Police Chiefs Foundation “Valor Awards.”

Each year, the Valor Award is presented to law enforcement officers who have gone over and above the call of duty to help their fellow citizens at the peril of their own safety.

The outgoing Board President, North Plainfield Chief William Parenti will give his final speech as Association President, and the incoming president, Maple Shade Chief Gary Gubbei, will take the oath of office.

The Police/Security Expo, held in conjunction with the Annual Training Conference, will be open June 27 and 28.
