Pivot3 Earns 5-Star Rating in CRN’s 2017 Partner Program Guide

CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has awarded Pivot3 with a 5-Star rating in its 2017 Partner Program Guide – the third consecutive year Pivot3 has received this rating.

This annual guide is the definitive listing of partner programs from technology vendors that provide products and services through the IT channel.

The 5-Star Partner Program Guide rating recognizes an elite subset of companies that offer solution providers the best partnering elements in their channel programs.

To determine the 2017 5-Star ratings, The Channel Company’s research team assessed each vendor’s partner program based on investments in program offerings, partner profitability, partner training, education and support, marketing programs and resources, sales support and communication.

Pivot3 experienced explosive growth in 2016, with an 84-percent revenue increase over the previous year and a 275-percent increase in deal registrations through the channel in the second half of 2016.

After Pivot3 acquired NexGen Storage in early 2016, the company’s channel program quickly evolved to fully integrate the legacy NexGen partner ecosystem, focusing on leveraging the best of both programs while educating partners on the new revenue opportunities available through its expanded product suite.

Pivot3 also invested extensively in marketing development funds (MDFs), upgraded its online partner portal and expanded its partner leadership team to better service the needs of the channel.

In early 2017, Mark Maisano joined Pivot3 as vice president of channel sales.

Maisano brings a diverse range of channel experience, having worked at companies like Acronis, Ingram Micro and Seagate Technology. Maisano will focus on building strategic partnerships and driving channel sales for multiple data-intensive use cases and industries.
