Radware, a leading provider of cyber security and application delivery solutions, and a 2017 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Award Winner for Best Cyber Security Application Management, has won an over one million dollar deal with a top U.S. service provider.
This new customer will use Radware’s Attack Mitigation Solution (AMS) to expand its network of scrubbing centers.
The deal includes a combination of hardware and software solutions designed for infrastructure protection in addition to support services and signature update subscriptions.
“This carrier chose Radware because of our ability meet its massive scale with the most comprehensive technology and service package,” said Mark McIlvane, Vice President of Carrier Sales and Business Development at Radware.
“At the same time, we’re adding value to the services it provides its customers.”
“With these enhanced infrastructure protections in place, this service provider will now have the opportunity to provide DDoS mitigation services to their customers in the future.”

“Carriers, cable operators, ISP/CSPs and service providers are increasingly packaging their existing offerings with enhanced security services for their customers,” added McIlvane.
“Like this one, many providers turn to Radware because we have the ability to provide comprehensive protection at the massive scale that carriers require, and we can support them in the data center, the cloud or a hybrid of both.”
Radware’s family of DDoS security solutions provides integrated application and network security for a best of breed, multi-layered security architecture and DDoS attack prevention.
Radware provides the highest protection accuracy with patent-protected behavioral based detection to protect legitimate traffic and real-time signature creation for zero-day attack protection.
Radware’s hybrid DDoS protection integrates always-on detection and mitigation (on-premises or in the cloud) with cloud-based volumetric DDoS attack prevention, scrubbing, and 24×7 Emergency Response Team (ERT) support.
Radware’s Defense SSL protection supports all types of encrypted attacks, inkling TCP SYN Floods, SSL Negotiation Floods, HTTPS Floods, and Encrypted Web Attacks.
What’s Included in Radware’s Security Solutions?
Hybrid DDoS Attack Prevention & Protection
Integrating Radware’s on-premise, real-time DDoS protection solution, DefensePro, with Radware’s Hybrid Cloud DDoS Attack Prevention and Protection Service for volumetric attack protection.
Minimal-Latency SSL Attack Mitigation Solution
A patent-protected mitigation solution supports all common versions of SSL and TLS and protects from all types of encrypted attacks – including TCP SYN Floods, SSL Negotiation Floods, HTTPS Floods and Encrypted Web Attacks.
Unmatched Web Application Security
Through Radware’s Web Application Firewall, AppWall, or Radware’s Cloud WAF Service – offering full web security protection including OWASP Top-10 coverage, advanced web attack protection and 0-day web attack protection.
Full Suite of Cloud Security Services
Full range of cloud WAF and DDoS protection solutions that can provide organizations optimal cloud protection services to meet the unique needs of their networks and applications.
Battle-proven Emergency Response Team
24×7 security expert support for hands-on attack mitigation assistance during prolonged, multi-vector attacks.
These hybrid protection capabilities ensure that traffic is not diverted unless it is absolutely necessary.
As a result, the organization is fully protected and time to mitigation is measured in seconds.
Radware’s attack mitigation solution includes active monitoring and health checks on the protected service or application.
In addition, the system performs pipe saturation monitoring and customers are notified when there is a risk for saturation and action is required.

Ongoing reports regarding all attacks that were mitigated by the system (automatically mitigated or invoked) are available for viewing on a web-based service portal.
When Radware’s ERT is involved in mitigating an attack, a full post attack analysis report is provided to the customer.
Radware’s solution includes 24×7 ERT support for hands-on attack mitigation assistance from a single point of contact.
The ERT provides expertise needed during prolonged, multi-vector attacks.
This includes working closely with customers to decide on the diversion of traffic during volumetric attacks, assisting with capturing files, analyzing the situation and ensuring the best mitigation options are implemented.
The ERT’s experience with fighting the most widely known attacks in the industry provides best practice approaches to fight each and every attack.
Radware’s web application firewall (WAF) provides complete protection against: web application attacks, web application attacks behind CDNs, advanced HTTP attacks (slowloris, dynamic floods), brute force attacks on login pages and more.
A messaging mechanism enables Radware’s WAF to signal Radware’s perimeter attack mitigation device when a web application attack is detected and needs to be blocked at the perimeter, protecting the rest of the network.
As organizations migrate applications to the cloud, Radware offers a cloud-based WAF service.
Radware’s Hybrid Cloud WAF offering provides a fully managed enterprise grade WAF that protects both on-premise and cloud-based applications, using a single technology solution.
Radware’s SSL mitigation solution is unique in the industry.
It mitigates SSL encrypted flood attacks at the network perimeter.
The solution mitigates SSL-based attacks using challenge-response mitigation techniques and SSL decryption and challenge response mechanisms are enforced only on suspicious traffic.
The result is the lowest latency SSL mitigation solution in the industry, as legitimate traffic is not affected by the mitigation efforts.

The 2017 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Presentation Luncheon
Recognized for their Innovative Training and Education Programs, Outstanding Product Development Achievements and Exciting New Technologies to address the growing Homeland Security Threats our Nation is facing.
American Security Today was formed after careful reflection of 9/11 and its aftermath when the Department of Homeland Security was established and there was an immediate explosion of new products and solutions for what was perceived as an imminent second attack on primary targets in the United States.
As time moved forward from 9/11 itself and in recent years, the threats to our nation have evolved from a large scale 9/11 type attack to:
- Domestic and International Terrorist Attacks carried out by ‘lone wolves’ and coordinated individuals
- Cybersecurity breach attacks against our government agencies, financial institutions and critical infrastructure facilities
- Unprecedented urban violence
- Cultural shifts and societal media bias, which make it increasingly difficult to secure our nation in this constantly evolving threat environment.
These current circumstances have put forward another rapid expansion of new ideas, products and solutions to combat these ever changing challenges.
These changes have called for a new generation of security experts in the Homeland Security and Public Safety fields who need real time knowledge of our ever growing threats.
These experts include the Government at the Federal, State and Local levels as well as from Private Firms specializing in Physical Security, Port Security, Law Enforcement, First Responders, Military and Private Security responsible for implementing coordinated security measures to ensure our Nation’s Security and improve Public Safety.
AST focuses on Homeland Security and Public Safety Breaking News, the Newest Initiatives and Hottest Technologies in Physical & IT Security, essential to meeting today’s growing security challenges.
