The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is working to modernize its paper-based immigration process through its Electronic Immigration System (ELIS) program.
The USCIS Electronic Immigration System (USCIS ELIS) is an online, account-based system that allows users to submit and view certain benefit requests, receive electronic notification of decisions, and receive real-time case status updates.
- Allows USCIS customers and their legal representatives to create a secure online account and file benefit requests online
- Allows users to submit evidence electronically
- Provides more accurate and secure customer service
- Allows USCIS to process cases in an efficient, consistent and secure environment
This account-based electronic system reduces the need to store millions of historical paper records and virtually eliminates the burdensome process of adjudication paper benefits.
It also sets the stage for more effective electronic sharing of information between government agencies.
Salient CRGT was recently awarded the USCIS Outcome-based Delivery and DevOps Services (ODDS) task order to provide Agile development services for ELIS the program.
This task order was awarded for a six-month base period and a six-month option period valued at approximately $9.2 million.
Under this task order, Salient CRGT will provide USCIS’s ELIS program with experienced Agile development teams and DevOps service to transform and streamline USCIS operations; making adjudicators more effective.
This task order will allow Salient CRGT to continue to provide the talent, and the expertise to deliver high quality outcomes in response to business requirements.
The Salient CRGT teams will work collaboratively with the Government throughout the project to rapidly deliver quality, tested code in small batches, to increase the frequency and pace of delivering business-valued technology and support the operational needs of the system, thus functioning in a true DevOps manner.
“The USCIS plays a critical role in securing America’s promise as a nation of immigrants and maintaining the integrity of our immigration system,” said Brad Antle, CEO of Salient CRGT.
“Our expertise in Agile methodology will help the USCIS improve the technologies it employs and enable the efficient issuing of immigration and citizenship benefits.”
