SolarWinds, a leading provider of powerful and affordable IT management software, a Platinum Award Winner Two Years Running in the Annual ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program, and a strong competitor in the 2018 ‘ASTORS’ Awards Program, has announced the Orion® Suite v3.0 is now under evaluation for Common Criteria certification to Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 2+ in the Spanish Common Criteria Scheme (SCCS).
The Common Criteria is an international standard for computer security to which conformance is verified through laboratory evaluation and scheme certification.
“SolarWinds is continually working to improve the array of products that comprise our Orion Suite of IT management solutions,” said Paul Parker, chief technologist of federal and national government, SolarWinds.
“We will continue to invest in Common Criteria evaluation, which will aid our intentions to develop solutions that strive to meet the critical needs of IT professionals in the public sector.”
Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation
Common Criteria is an international program with 28 nations as signatories, in which IT products are certified against standard specifications, specifically to ensure they meet an agreed-upon security standard for government deployments.

The Orion Suite 3.0 leverages the Orion Platform, a modular and highly scalable platform that unifies data from multiple IT layers into an application-centric view.
The platform is designed to enable powerful, end-to-end hybrid IT management, deliver cloud visibility along with deep on-premises monitoring.
It incorporates a simple drag-and-drop dashboard to visualize infrastructure and application relationships, helping IT professionals monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance across hybrid environments. It also provides the flexibility to add modules as needs grow.
Help Ensure Service Availability
Your business simply cannot afford to have your critical services interrupted, and these services rely on your network, systems, applications, virtualization, storage, and database all working in concert.
The Orion Platform brings visibility into all the elements of your critical services in order to manage them effectively.
Improve Operational Efficiency
Monitor and correlate data across the entire IT stack to help you meet your service level agreements and reduce monitoring efforts, so you can focus your activities where they really matter: deploying new services and improving end-user experience.
The Orion Platform gives you one platform from one vendor, with a single pane of glass, and everything you need for end-to-end IT visibility.
Its modular architecture allows you to deploy what you want when you want it, all while consolidating metrics and data in one view, in context, with advanced alerts for faster root cause identification.
Optimize Business Service Delivery
The internet is down. I can’t get my mail. My phone connection is poor. You’ve heard them all before.
Users don’t care why, they just know that they cannot access critical applications.
Optimizing delivery of IT services with our business software will help to ensure the availability of critical services and keep the complaints to a minimum.
Automate IT Processes
As your environment grows in size and complexity, so too does the need for repeatable automated processes.
From simple backups to automated configuration changes, process automation can help reduce errors and lower costs by reducing downtime.
