Tanium, the 2022 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Award Winner for Best Device Visibility and Control Solution in its Converged Endpoint Management (XEM) platform, is launching its New Digital Employee Experience (DEX) solution.
Digital transformation and hybrid work have brought employee digital experiences to the fore as a critical aspect of the overall work experience, making it a top priority for CIOs to ensure high productivity, better employee satisfaction, and lower IT support costs.
DEX helps IT leaders continuously measure and improve the technology experience that companies offer to their employees. By incorporating these new DEX capabilities into the XEM platform, Tanium completes the end-to-end endpoint management lifecycle.
The DEX addition uniquely empowers IT teams to proactively monitor and manage the health and performance of employee digital experiences.

Unlike traditional set-it-and-forget-it approaches, Tanium XEM with DEX delivers self-help functionality that allows employees to fix issues affecting their devices and supports automated remediation for a seamless experience. It also provides survey and notification features that enable continual measurement and improvement of user experiences.
“I’ve spent my entire career focusing on end-user experiences and trying to get vendors and organizations to prioritize it,” shared Gabe Knuth, senior analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group.
“I really like seeing tools like Tanium’s Digital Employee Experience coming to the marketplace to help keep end users happy and productive while lightening the load on IT departments.”
Analysts estimate that by 2025, 50% of IT organizations will have a DEX strategy, including solutions and support teams, up from just 15% last year.
Tanium XEM with DEX is the only converged endpoint management platform that provides an efficient and cost-effective DEX solution coupled with comprehensive endpoint and vulnerability management capabilities via a single agent, to deliver exceptional experiences everywhere and rapid returns on investment.
“Today, our employees’ digital work experience is their work experience,” explained Steve Daheb, Tanium’s Chief Marketing Officer.
“The accelerated shift to cloud-based technologies and hybrid work has added new variables to the availability and performance of digital work, affecting everything from the platform, the connectivity, the applications, and the access to data.”
“This rapid digital transition has exposed the fragility of our digital work experience. IT organizations now view careful management of the end-user experience as a critical part of the endpoint lifecycle.”
“Tanium XEM with DEX completes the endpoint management lifecycle and provides the first holistic platform available in this emerging category.”
Tanium XEM with DEX removes the barriers between IT and employees with industry-first management and analytics capabilities to support better organizational decisions.

Qualitative and quantitative feedback loops to measure and improve employee satisfaction
“With the workplace expanding beyond traditional environments, enabling an exceptional digital work experience both on and off-network is a must,” added Nic Surpatanu, Chief Product Officer at Tanium.
“Our DEX offering provides powerful insight into workflow and productivity within an organization so any issue can be flagged before it becomes a problem.“
“As organizations seek to create more efficiencies and boost overall effectiveness, the Tanium platform detects and notifies end users of potential disruptions so they can resolve IT challenges without filing a help ticket.”
Last month, Tanium launched a certificate manager and enhanced policy management for convenient tool consolidation, executive-level reporting, and high cost and time savings, as the company continues to build upon its award-winning XEM platform with advanced capabilities to meet market demand.

That’s The Power of Certainty.
American Security Today’s Annual ‘ASTORS’ Awards is the preeminent U.S. Homeland Security Awards Program, and now entering it’s Eighth Year, continues to recognize industry leaders of Physical and Border Security, Cybersecurity, Emergency Preparedness – Management and Response, Law Enforcement, First Responders, as well as federal, state and municipal government agencies in the acknowledgment of their outstanding efforts to Keep our Nation Secure.
Companies spend $160BN annually on point solutions that don’t improve cybersecurity, and CIOs have millions of globally distributed assets to see and control but lack the visibility/ability to act in real-time.
94% of enterprises have 20% or more endpoints undiscovered, unprotected, and vulnerable to attack, while the many tools sitting on endpoints adversely affect performance, and disparate point solutions make it difficult to collect, assess, and act on data across operations and security; additional solutions are often required to remediate vulnerabilities or respond to incidents—adding to IT complexity and cost.
Tanium solves this by delivering full visibility and control in real-time for every endpoint—across users, clouds, and IoT devices—enabling CISOs to see instantly whether hundreds of thousands of assets are installed, configured, patched, and used according to corporate policies, so they can mitigate risk and reduce complexity using a single platform spanning operations, risk, and security teams.
To defend against attack surface proliferation and protect critical information and infrastructure, Tanium XEM offers a convergence of real-time decision-making, management, and remediation across IT, Compliance, Security, and Risk using a single pane of glass for one shared source of truth, a unified set of controls, and a common taxonomy that brings together siloed teams from across an organization.
(See why Tanium, the industry’s only provider of converged endpoint management (XEM), is leading the shift in legacy approaches to managing complex security and technology environments. Courtesy of Tanium and YouTube.)
XEM utilizes a patented linear-chain architecture, providing real-time visibility and control at scale, and a fully extensible data model with the ability to customize Tanium in any environment and with any desired integration among existing tools. The lightweight, performant Tanium single agent spans the breadth and depth of all XEM platform capabilities.
Tanium can protect every team, endpoint, and workflow from cyber threats by integrating IT, Risk and Compliance, and Security into a single platform for comprehensive visibility across devices, a unified set of controls, and a common taxonomy for one shared purpose: protecting critical information and infrastructure at scale. Tanium complements anti-malware solutions with its visibility, management, and remediation capabilities – all in real-time.

The pinnacle of the Annual ‘ASTORS’ Awards Program is the Annual ‘ASTORS’ Awards Ceremony Luncheon Banquet, an exclusive, full-course plated meal event, in the heart of New York City.
The 2022 exclusive sold-out ‘ASTORS’ luncheon featured representatives of law enforcement, public safety, and industry leaders who came together to honor the selfless service of those who stand on the front lines and those who stand beside them – providing the capabilities and technologies to create a safer world for generations to come.
Last year marked the 20th anniversary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which came out in force to discuss comprehensive collaborations between private and public sectors that have led to the development of intelligence and technologies which serve to protect our nation.
The keynote address was provided by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations (OFO) Deputy Executive Assistant Commissioner (DEAC) Diane Sabatino, who described the changes to CBP through the tragedy of 9/11 and the relentless commitment to its mission and ongoing investment in the latest technologies and innovations to protect our borders and Homeland.
The resounding theme of the DEAC’s remarks was her pride in the women and men of the CBP and their families who support them.
AST was also joined by Legendary Police Commissioner William Bratton, who spoke about his love for the City of New York, the Profession of law enforcement to which he has dedicated his life, and for which he continues to drive thought leadership and innovation.
New York City Police Department (NYPD) Chief of Department Kenneth Corey, came out to address Luncheon attendees and shared some of his experiences and the changes in policing he’s witnessed over his more than three decades of service.
FDNY Chief Joseph Jardin honored the men and women of the FDNY, not only those who currently serve but all of those who have selflessly served, with special recognition of those lost on 9/11.
Chief Jardin spoke about the continuing health battle of many following 9/11 with cancer and respiratory disease, yet now knowing the full consequences, would not have made a different decision to respond.
As Chief Jardin noted, mission-driven service is the lifeblood of every firefighter, volunteer, and sworn member, and has been so throughout the history of the Fire Service.
Former head of the FBI’s active shooter program, Katherine Schweit joined AST to sign complimentary copies of her book, ‘STOP THE KILLING: How to End the Mass Shooting Crisis, thanks to the generosity of our 2022 ‘ASTORS’ Awards Sponsors.
