The Navy has chosen to upgrade their first-generation LRADs to the 2021 ‘ASTORS’ Award Finalist for Best Long Range Acoustic Hailing System, the next-generation LRAD 1000Xi system.*
LONGER RANGE SYSTEM FOR EXTENDED COMMUNICATION
The LRAD 1000Xi broadcasts powerful deterrent tones and exceptionally clear voice messages up to 3,000 meters to provide extended critical infrastructure protection, coastal, border, port and maritime security, and helicopter and larger vessel/vehicle-mounted defense applications.
Featuring rugged military construction and a carbon fiber emitter head with integrated electronics and amplification, the LRAD 1000Xi has an MP3 Control Module for local activation of recorded messages or all-weather, live microphone use, and also enables full operation from a remote location.

The LRAD 1000Xi is a power-efficient, long-range communication system designed to deliver audible hails, warnings, notifications, and commands from close range out to 3,000 meters.
The superior voice intelligibility and extended frequency range of the LRAD 1000Xi ensure voice messages and warning tones are clearly delivered to enhance response capabilities with safe, scalable escalation of force.
