UPDATE: US Marshals in New Mexico Arrest Most Wanted Homicide Suspect

The U.S. Marshals Service for the District of New Mexico South West Investigative Fugitive Team task force, following an extensive fugitive investigation, today apprehended a man wanted for allegedly running over his girlfriend in northeast Albuquerque Nov. 14th which was featured below on Dec 5th.

The U.S. Marshals Service in New Mexico announced Nov. 30 that it was posting a reward for up to $3,000 for information that led to the arrest of Dominic Garcia, the suspect who has a lengthy and violent criminal history.

“Deputy U.S. Marshals tirelessly and with unwavering commitment to public safety worked nonstop for the last 96 hours,” U.S. Marshal for the District of New Mexico Conrad E. Candelaria said.

“Every lead was exhausted until this wanted and dangerous fugitive was arrested.”

“The USMS task force for the district of New Mexico has and continues to prove its service to the safety of our communities in New Mexico by pursuing and arresting the most dangerous fugitives.”

“It is my hope that the arrest of this fugitive can give the family and friends of the victim some closure and justice prevails.”

In the last year, the SWIFT task force has apprehended 20 fugitives in connection with homicide/murder charges in Albuquerque/Bernalillo County.

Garcia’s arrest marks the 21st.

Help Marshals Catch ‘Most Wanted’ Dominic Garcia, Reward (Video)

The U.S. Marshals Service in New Mexico has added a violent offender to “New Mexico’s Most Wanted Program.”

Dominic Garcia is wanted by the Albuquerque Police Department for homicide.

Garcia is suspected of running his girlfriend over with a vehicle in Albuquerque on Nov. 14.

Officer Simon Drobik, a spokesman for the Albuquerque Police Department, explained that Garcia is charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the death of Samantha Sandoval.

A $3,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his capture.

Deputies and task force officers assigned to the U.S. Marshals Service Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team task force are trying to locate Garcia, and believe he may be in the Albuquerque Metro area.
