FBI: Performing Duty with Unwavering Integrity & Professionalism

FBI Agents Association (FBIAA) President Thomas O’Connor issued the following statement today:

“Each and every day, FBI Special Agents put their lives on the line to protect the American public from national security and criminal threats.”

“Agents perform these duties with unwavering integrity and professionalism and a focus on complying with the law and the Constitution.”

“This is why the FBI continues to be the premier law enforcement agency in the world.”

“FBI Agents are dedicated to their mission; suggesting otherwise is simply false.”

The FBI Agents Association (FBIAA), hosted their fourth annual ‘G-Man Honors’ fundraising event November 29 at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC. 

More than 200 people were in attendance for the evening’s reception to honor the men and women of the FBI, and raised over $185,000 to benefit the FBIAA’s Charitable Memorial College Fund, and the Charitable Membership Assistance Fund.

The day started with the FBIAA National Executive Board meeting with FBI Director Christopher Wray at FBI headquarters to discuss priority issues.

Director Wray, along with a number of other high-level Bureau representatives, attended event in the evening, and in his remarked applauded the FBIAA and the members’ of the FBIAA’s work above and beyond their responsibilities in service of other agents. 

Wray added, “We are a better organization for it.”

Former Defense Secretary and CIA Director Leon Panetta delivered the evening’s keynote remarks and received the FBIAA’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his legacy of leadership and courage. 

In his speech, he reflected on his years of collaboration with FBI Special Agents in service of our country.

The FBI Agents Association (FBIAA) is an organization dedicated to providing support and advocacy to active and former Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Membership includes more than 13,000 active and former Special Agents of the FBI.

The pillars of the organization includes internal advocacy, legal representation, a legislative lobbying effort and financial support to agents, offered through both Memorial Scholarship and Member Assistance funds.

The FBIAA was founded over three decades ago in response to the growing recognition that agents needed to join together in order to protect and advance the interests of agents both within the Bureau, as well as in the public domain.
