The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the subject(s) involved in the September 12, 2017 murder of Tahir Mahmud in Danville, Virginia.
Increasing violence over the years had convinced Tahir Mahmud to sell his Danville convenience store, according to friends. But he couldn’t find a buyer in time.
On September 12, 2017, police found his body, with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound, behind the counter where he had worked for a decade.

Details:
On September 12, 2017, a homicide and armed robbery occurred at the Joy Food Store located at 507 Riverside Drive in Danville, Virginia. The victim, Mr. Tahir Mahmud, was found deceased by a store patron. Additionally, the cash register drawers to the business were open.
