Carbyne, a global leader in public safety, the Platinum Award Winner in the 2017 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program for Best Emergency Response for Fed/State/Local Government and a competitor in the 2018 ‘ASTORS’ Awards, is officially live in the U.S. with its c-Lite, to provide live video calls and pinpoint location capabilities to 911 centers across the country.
c-Lite, is a Next-Generation 911 plugin for legacy 911 call handling systems, and has been adopted by Fayette County, GA and Ocean County, NJ.
(Next Generation 911 Plugin for Legacy E911. Carbyne’s high-availability plugin c-Lite provides NG911 functionality to PSAP’s currently using legacy call-handling software and adds another layer of information which includes: Video Streaming, Accurate Location and Real Time Chat. c-Lite works in conjunction with an agency’s legacy call handling software to provide NG911 capabilities without the necessity of integration with existing systems.
Launched this summer, five counties will be implementing c-Lite into their legacy emergency response systems within the next 30 days, including Fayette and Ocean Counties.
With c-Lite, Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) will benefit from:
-
Precise location services, pinpointing callers within 20 feet for ALL calls, even indoors
-
Real-time video streaming
-
Live chat with callers in situations where verbal communication may be untenable
“The demand for c-Lite has been tremendous,” explains Eyal Elyashiv, COO-USA for Carbyne.
“Emergency response agencies have been eager to adopt Next Generation 911 for quite some time but have been unable to do so for various reasons.”
“When PSAP decision-makers find out they can get NG911 functionality in an easy to implement, affordable plugin without risk to current operational flows, their interest is immediately piqued.”
“Having Fayette and Ocean Counties go live with c-Lite and additional clients in the coming months is a huge vote of confidence in our life-saving technology.”
“Our advanced platform is easy to implement and slashes time to dispatch by 65% – and that makes all the difference.”
