Engineered for critical infrastructure, the Matrix Alpha system unites strength with versatility to protect any asset required by the user.

Matrix Alpha is a baseline for perimeter security, that, along with the rest of the Matrix system, Alpha was engineered to comply with CIP-014 physical security standards and tested to meet IEEE grounding requirements.

Matrix Alpha is distinguishable by two primary features. First, unlike the other Matrix systems, Alpha is galvanized to protect from the elements.

Secondly, the Matrix Alpha’s curtain wall architecture, allows for variable post spacing yielding reduced installation times.

Alpha’s framework structure enables the user to expand the system to meet site security requirements needed by choosing a preferred height and a suitable mesh option that details the degree of delay and level of visibility.

Alpha is available in three heights (8 foot, 10 foot, and 12 foot) and with five different metal mesh infill options.

In addition to the base system features, Ameristar offers a variety of system enhancements to improve deterrence and increase delay.

Barbed-wire arms and spike deterrent strips can be mounted to the top of the system for increased deterrence.

Furthermore, technology posts up to 20 feet high can be added for mounting cameras, lights and other surveillance equipment.

Meeting IEEE Standards

Ameristar was the first to successfully test steel powder coated fence to IEEE Grounding Standards, a critical feature for power utility substations.

Both of the company’s Matrix and Impasse Systems are the first coated systems designed to minimize the system impedance to comply with IEEE grounding requirements.

No additional grounding material, beyond the structure grounding lug installation, is required to create low resistance and safe fence system.

By way of fence construction the entire fence system is inherently grounded without the need for any additional work.

Grounding location at the post is for taking the fence system to site ground.

This breakthrough allows power utility companies to provide a site with the level of security and safety needed as well as providing an appealing look that will not detract from its surroundings.

However, Matrix Alpha is not premanufactured for grounding connections, giving contractors the option to ground the system where they choose.

Animal Mitigation Shield

Ameristar’s newest addition to system enhancements is the Animal Mitigation Shield, which can be securely mounted to the top of the Matrix and Matrix Alpha systems.

The animal shield provides a positive deterrent from nuisance animals entering into protected areas.

The system can be easily installed along the upper most portion of the fence and gate system and throughout the entire perimeter including all corners and/or changes in fence direction.

Their animal mitigation system has been evaluated and recommended by an accredited herpetologist for mitigating intrusion of nuisance animal’s i.e. snakes, raccoons, squirrels, iguanas, rodents of unusual size, possums, cat species & nutria.

Additionally, the Matrix Alpha perimeter enclosure grid Meets Buy American Act.
