Cloudastructure, a 2021 ‘ASTORS’ Award Winning Cloud Video Surveillance Provider, recently Nominated for Multiple Awards in the 2022 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program, has already exceeded its Q3 2022 targets in terms of installations, customer growth, and its sales pipeline.
Cloudastructure‘s Q3 growth is continuing at a rigorous pace and has experienced 254% growth in the number of locations, 69% growth in the number of cloud surveillance customers, and 138% sales pipeline growth since the annual shareholder meeting in January 2022.
The company has rapidly expanded operations to meet demand, and installations of the Cloudastructure’s flagship cloud video surveillance solution across the nation illustrates the company’s growing footprint.
“The shift from on-premises video surveillance to cloud-based solutions has begun,” explains Cloudastructure CEO Rick Bentley.
“As recently as last year, we had to explain to customers why a cloud solution was the best solution. We don’t have to do that anymore – we now have vertical markets seeking us out.”

“In February, Gartner predicted that more than half of enterprise IT spending will shift to the cloud by 2025. Our numbers continue to bear that out,” added Bentley.
“The rapid adoption of our cloud surveillance solution shows that businesses are tired of forensic security. They want a proactive solution that can stop crime in its tracks.”
Cloudastructure’s Smart Surveillance is one of the most advanced 21st-century video analytics systems on the market.
While competitors compute analytics locally, or exclusively at the edge, at Cloudastructure, all motion-based footage is encrypted and transferred to the cloud, where advanced AI/ML analytics are performed for greater computational accuracy, economy, scalability, and security.
The system indexes the footage just as Google indexes the web, to enable rapid search capabilities, including facial recognition (with a higher degree of accuracy than human recognition), age and gender prediction, clothing, color, counting and tagging, object detection, License Plate Recognition, make and model of vehicle, line crossing with directional awareness, etc.
The platform also features elastic searches, alert notifications, mobile access, SSO, and the ability to share video footage with just a click.
(Cloudastructure offers 21st-century cloud video surveillance that works with the cameras you already have. Equipped with award-winning AI/ML analytics in the cloud, enjoy a scalable solution that offers a unified view of all locations, rapid searches, mobile access, and unlimited support. Here’s how the system works:
-
Cloudastructure records surveillance camera footage on a dedicated form factor we call a Cloud Video Recorder or CVR.
-
The CVR then delivers that data encrypted to the cloud over an outbound HTTPS connection – the same way you log into Gmail or Amazon or your online bank.
-
This way, there are no open ports or holes in the firewall, there’s no fixed IP address, and the system requires no VPN.
-
Cloudastructure runs all the videos through a computation pipeline of increasing difficulty: every object is indexed much the way Google indexes content), and tags faces, license plates, make/model of car, weapons, objects, animals, etc.
-
Cloudastructure analytics can search for bad actors, based on facial recognition software that leads the industry in accuracy, or by age, gender, the color of clothing, mask vs no-mask, or for license plates, particular models of cars, as well as searching by location/camera/etc.
-
When clients access either their footage or analytics, they access it within that cloud – there’s no thick client software – it’s 100% browser-based, and there are no DB sync tools across NVRs, etc., that other solutions use.
-
The dashboard they see offers the ability to view both live view and recorded history, across all locations AND accounts with role-based access control.
-
Cloudastructure‘s Live View enables users to view all their cameras with less than a 10-second delay (always working on making this shorter).
-
Because it’s in the cloud, there are no limits to how many people can review recorded or live stream footage simultaneously.
-
If public safety officials, for example, need to review the footage of a fire or a shooting, multicasting is no trouble:
-
If 1mbps is uploaded from CVR to the cloud, and ten people need to log in and see the live stream, it’s still only 1mpbs upload on the customer’s network—not the 10x one might expect with ten simultaneous viewers
-
In short, the system is designed for simplicity and power: a true cloud-based AI/ML surveillance offering.
(See More of the cloud-based storage capabilities of Cloudastructure. Courtesy of Cloudastructure and YouTube.)
Cloudastructure protects the data from hackers and environmental risk, and provides multi-layered redundancy while alleviating the client entirely of managing the server or software, all while offering clients AI/ML software and analytics that allow them to transform their video data into actionable information.

Cloudastructure has even shed any notion of their personal preferences in terms of “which cloud” or “which hardware,” declaring themselves agnostic in both cases to dedicate themselves entirely to the cloud and software pieces.
The company’s federal clients say they love the unified view, the lack of need for IT support, the easy capacity to share clips between agencies without users being able to access other data, and the additional steps Cloudastructure takes in dealing with privacy, including SSO, 2FA, roles for privacy, FIPS 140-2, and the encryption to go with it.
On-premises systems cannot handle the processing power necessary – video files are large, and processing them takes tremendous computational power that can’t be deployed cost-effectively at every location.
Headquartered in Miami, Florida, with R&D in Silicon Valley, California, Cloudastructure’s award-winning surveillance video management system is designed and supported by world-class technical resources drawn from five continents.
The platform’s unique architecture enables AI and computer vision for a scalable, flexible, cost-effective security solution that eliminates the resource-intensive management and data risks of on-premises solutions.
Cloudastructure enables a unified view of multiple sites for motion, facial recognition/detection, license plate recognition, advanced analytics, remote guarding, and compliance while delivering up to a 75% lower total cost of ownership than other systems.
