On Sunday, August 16th at approximately 3:10 p.m., Cedar Park Police received a disturbance call at a home where the caller stated her son had kicked in the door and was becoming aggressive. When officers arrived on scene and entered the home, gun shots were fired towards the officers at which time, our officers returned fire. Three officers were hit and were able to exit the house to get help. The male subject, Joseph DeSean Taylor (DOB: 01/30/1994) then barricaded himself inside the home with three family hostages.
