COVID-19? Screen with AI-Base, Non-Contact Thermal Imaging for ‘Feevr’

FEEVR enables the user to identify individuals with a possible fever, efficiently and effectively, without making direct body contact, minimizing the risk of infectious disease cross-contamination.

As the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic is causing concern internationally, Barry Oberholzer, CEO of X.Labs, and Multiple-Award Winner in the 2019 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program, is aware that many his company’s customers are taking steps to be proactive in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

X.Labs (formerly Royal Holding Technologies), is stepping up and assuming responsibility to ensure their customers have more options at hand.

In the early days of 2017 as part of Research & Development (R&D) for SWORD, an Award-Winning Innovative Mobile Based Smartphone Security Scanning Device security platform, the company developed a thermal weapon detection platform with an advanced AI algorithm.

When FEEVR detects an individual with high or abnormal temperatures, it will be captured on the screen. An alert will be triggered discreetly to notify the authority and bring the potential infected individual for further medical examination.

That was a stepping stone to their current millimeter wave capability on SWORD.

However, the algorithm had plenty of features which weren’t required at the time, which includes a fever detection.

The current pandemic and client demand allowed X.labs to think outside the box and launch a new, immediately available product – Feevr.

Feevr is a quick and effective artificial intelligence (AI) based system for screening and detecting individuals in a crowd with an elevated temperature.

Stay informed so you can stay safe. Scan a crowd with non-invasive thermal technology using FEEVR.

Key Features include:

Crowd Detection System

  • Effectively Identify passengers with fever (adjustable threshold) from a crowd with speed.

Discreetly Isolate Suspected Individual

  • For secondary screening to confirm an entry or rejected entry, reducing stoppage and gives a smooth flow of traffic.

Feevr is designed for minimal but yet effective, signaling the operational personnel when in need to react.

Instantly Identify with Alert Signal When Triggers

Snapshot function of thermal image

  • Capture automatically (or manually) when an individual’s temperature reaches and/or goes above the input threshold.

Feevr is a non-contact based system which prevents the chances of cross infection.

Feever can also be integrated with the Vuzix Blade Smart Glasses as an optional extra for the ideal wearable solution.

Pair the Blade with Feevr and immediately receive a real-time heads-up display to allow you to stay engaged with your environment, while also simultaneously receiving critical alerts from Feevr.

X.labs will begin shipping Feevr units on March 26, 2020.

The company has a limited quantity of units available so if you would like further information or would want to reserve your units, please visit the company website at www.feevr.tech or contact them via email as soon as possible.

“Once again, our mission of saving lives and reinventing public safety has never been more pertinent, said CEO Oberholzer.
