Since 2005, Desktop Alert Mass Notification has been the innovator in 'less than one minute notification.' Desktop Alert, is a worldwide recognized leader in providing best-of-breed enterprise-class, network-centric emergency mass notification systems to private, industrial, military, government and commercial organizations.

Desktop Alert, a leading provider of enterprise mass notification and emergency communications products, is pleased to announce that the company’s Emergency Response and Mass Notification System has been nominated to compete in the 2018 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program.

Desktop Alert currently retains the Enterprise Mass Notification contract for the United States National Guard.

This includes both the Army and Air National Guard since 2009, as well as Northern Command and NORAD, which are intrinsically integrated with both Federal and State agencies.

Desktop Alert Receives DISA Accreditation with CAP 1.2 Compliance

“As a company, we are both pleased and proud of this hardworking achievement,” said Howard Ryan Founder Desktop Alert Inc.

“Our entire company shares in this milestone and success.”

“Desktop Alert first provided mass notification solutions to the U.S. Air Force Academy, McGuire Air Force Base and Buckley Air Force Base in 2007.”

“Since those early beginnings we have worked steadfastly and closely with our clients ranging across the Air National Guard and Army National Guard nationwide, West Point Military Academy, Fort Hood and beyond as well as international military clientele such as NATO HQ in Brussels.”

Desktop Alerts Emergency Mass Notification System is a Microsoft .Net Based Platform which sends mission critical and life-saving alerts across an organizations existing computational infrastructure.

Targeted devices include but are not limited to desktop and laptop workstations computers, PA and Giant Voice systems, VoIP phones, digital signage, mobile apps, NFPA approved fire alarms and more.

“The Common Alerting Protocol has emerged as a must have requirement for community alerting in proposals at most local, state and federal agencies.”

“Our DISA certification with CAP 1.2 Compliance illustrates to existing clients and prospective clients that our company is a worldwide leader for community alerting requirements and capabilities,” added Ryan.

In order to both attain and support such Iconic Federal/State and Local Northern America First Responder Agencies requires high level Department of Defense Certifications and mandated that Desktop Alert Software was BOTH IPAWS and CAP 1.2 compliant.

Currently worldwide, only Desktop Alert is DISA CAP 1.2 Complaint. CAP 1.2 compliancy insures alert sharing with all Federal, State and local agencies (avoiding competitive barriers).

Only two companies worldwide retain DISA mass notification certification and Desktop Alert is one of them.

Desktop Alert retains the Emergency Response Contract with NATO Enterprise.

It should be noted that each state in the United States has a very deep and invested information sharing relationship with NATO.

While Desktop Alert is 2nd place at DoD with client head count, as a company, Desktop Alert is the nation’s leading Emergency Response System and Mass Notification System to the homelands first responders enterprise.

Additionally, Desktop Alert has been deployed at FEMA HQ.

As stated, Desktop Alert system provides text messages, mobile app alerts, emails, and popups on desktops, fire alarm integration, digital signage, cable TV, intercom, Giant Voice and notification beacon integration.

Beyond that, a key factor in the selection of our company’s products and services was our ability to PROVE alert sharing across disparate platforms, state, local and federal agencies and competitive boundaries.

Desktop Alert was recognized as “avoiding competitive barriers creating information silos’ by Northern Command/NORAD and NATO… and as a result chosen over AtHoc in a very spirited competition.

“Our company has received exemplary reports year after year for best-of-breed products and services, and buttressed by continual contract renewals all of our Federal, State and Local agency clientele.”

Desktop Alert has also been recently touted with a ‘Visionary Leader’ citation in the Mass Notification Systems market by MarketsandMarkets™.

“This deliverable is a culmination of industry request for advanced competitive positioning content, followed by extensive research by our Global Information & Communications Technology analyst team,” MarketsandMarkets™.

Futhermore, Desktop Alert attained a joint interoperability test, evaluation, and certification (JITC) waiver from NETCOM as of May of 2016. NETCOM is the agency that certifies software before it is allowed to operate on U.S. Army networks.

The Desktop Alert Notification Platform (DTA) operates entirely on the customers’ existing computational infrastructure or in the Cloud.

It was determined by NETCOM there is no JITC hardware certification requirement.

As such, the DTA CoN application process is now available for FastTrack processing with issuance of a CoN often in as little as 90 days or less, which was recently accomplished at West Point Military Academy.

Desktop Alert is also the de facto ip-based mass notification in use by the Northern Command and the Air National Guard nationwide.

“This new FastTrack application process for a DTA CoN ensures that there will be no certification lapses by our U.S. Army clients such as the National Guard Enterprise, Fort Campbell, Fort Hood, West Point and numerous other Army customers worldwide,” explains Ryan.

“In the past, new certification applications or renewals took well over a year and often times resulted in customers being limited in their ability to purchase the requirement from a wider spectrum of mass notification vendors.”

The Desktop Alert MNS platform is a ‘system of systems’ which unifies inter-agency mass notification system end-points such as public address systems, e-mail, digital signage, telephone and text messaging and more all within one consolidated secure Department of Defense (DoD) web-based emergency operation center (EOC) interface.

Desktop Alert is also on the DISA Approved Products List (DISA APL) and the 1st First Mass Notification System To Complete USAF AFNet Migration.

It is for the aforementioned reasons and facts that Desktop Alert Inc. is a strong competitor for a prestigious 2018 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Award.
