DroneShield Participates in 2018 U5G Marine Corps Exercise (Multi-Video)

Commandant of the Marine Corps Gen. Robert B. Neller

DroneShield is pleased to announce its participation in the 2018 Urban 5th Generation Marine Exploration and Experimentation Exercise (U5G 18), organized by the United States Marine Corps Deputy Commandant for Combat Development & Integration (CD&I) and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (NR&DE).

The U5G 18 event takes place at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, San Diego, California, between March 15, 2018 and March 25, 2018.

The U5G 18 event focuses on evaluating new technologies by the United States Marines, for subsequent acquisition and deployment considerations.

DroneShield RadarOne
  • DroneShield RadarOne provides rapid, precise tracking of airborne targets with 360 degrees of azimuth coverage at ranges of 1km or more.
  • It is suitable for mobile and permanent installations, and deploys in minutes.
  • RadarOne supports automatic tracking of airborne targets and can display hundreds of track simultaneously.
  • It is configurable through the DroneShield User Interface.
  • It’s the ideal long-range detection solution for airborne targets.

Analysis & Identification

DroneShield utilizes a multi-sensor approach to analyze and identify incoming drone threats.

  • The radar sensor tracks a moving object, separating it from the background clutter such as trees or birds.
  • The radio frequency sensor provides a direction of bearing to the target, matching a set of RF signatures, which are regularly updated.
  • The acoustic sensor compares the audio sample to their database of acoustic signatures.
  • If it finds a match, the system issues an alert and records identifying information about the aircraft.
  • Camera and thermal sensors allow for a visual confirmation to the user, with an ability for high definition zoom during day or night.
  • This multi-sensor analysis allows us to detect drones with high accuracy, delivering low false-alarm rates.

Alerting

Instant alerts are delivered independently through a variety of methods, including SMS, email, or existing video or incident management systems.

  • DroneShield easily integrates into your established security system.
  • Their detection system also include a browser-based visual interface, giving you live visibility to surrounding drone activity.

  • DroneShield countermeasures allow for the controlled management of drone payload such as explosives, with no damage to common drone models or the surrounding environment.
  • Countermeasures have been developed for long range coverage in a wide range of environmental conditions.

Benefits of DroneGun Tactical Drone Jammer

  • Effective coverage: Allows for an up to 2km coverage, in a wide range of environmental conditions
  • Portable: Rifle shape with a backpack, one person operation
  • Easy to use: No technical training for set up or use required
  • Immediate video cease: Immediately ceases video transmission back to the drone operator
  • Enables investigation: Drone remains intact and available for forensic investigation

In addition to the U5G 18, DroneShield is undertaking a number of demonstrations by, and undergoing evaluations by, a number of U.S. and non-U.S. military service and law enforcement agencies, who are seeking to add counter-drone capabilities, on a significantly reduced timetable relative to their traditional procurement timeframes.
