EAGL Technology, is pleased to announce that the Emergency Automatic Gunshot and Lockdown (EAGL) System, has been nominated to compete in the 2018 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program.
The EAGL System provides Rapid Access Control and Notification Features when an Active Shooter Event occurs.
These automatic and autonomous features can be integrated with existing systems providing a cost-effective Solution to protect lives, dramatically reduce law enforcement incident response time and positively influence incident consequences by providing law enforcement with live stream video of shooter location and ballistic data.

Results: Increasing citizen & first responder survivability while decreasing risk!
The EAGL System is built upon technology developed by the Department of Energy (DOE), and uses the patented FireFly® Wireless Ballistic Sensor technology which autonomously detects gun fire and identifies the caliber of the weapon.
EAGL technology analyzes waveform and energy level to discern a firearm has been discharged and to prevent false alarms.
Zero false read dual validation is combined into each sensor, providing immediate actionable intelligence and will automatically lock down soft target areas within seconds of shots fired.
Building layout showing the shooter location with ballistic data is immediately sent to law enforcement command centers and via text and email to mobile hand-held devices.
EAGL provides full facility lockdown, LIVE video streaming, card access control, mass communication, and public address integration.
Integrated with existing access control systems, video surveillance, intercom or public-address equipment to allow the EAGL Gunshot Detection & Lockdown System to perform Threat Detection & Validation, Access Control and Notification.
These functions are performed, automatically and autonomously, within seconds of a detected threat event.
Notification features also includes providing law enforcement with ballistic information regarding weapon caliber

Their team meticulously collaborates with security representatives at all government levels, facility managers, and other security professionals to ensure security assessment, planning, and implementation are tailored to meet our customers’ security protocols, budgets, and needs.
Costs for an entire EAGL System can cost less than a wired system’s installation costs alone.
Additionally, EAGL Technology’s FireFly Ballistic Detector System recently completed preliminary operational test and evaluation by National Safe Skies Alliance, Inc. (Safe Skies).
Safe Skies’ evaluation report, which is entitled Preliminary Testing Report: EAGL Technology LLC Firefly Ballistic Detector and was issued in March 2018, is available for distribution to qualified airport personnel at US commercial-service airports and to government contacts.
The FireFly® Wireless Ballistic Sensor can be either programmed or directly connected to existing Fire/Burglar alarm systems to provide 24/7 monitoring and notify law enforcement and building security within 10 seconds after gunshot detection.
The Gateway and FireFly® Wireless Ballistic Sensor use enclosures rated for both Interior and Exterior environments!
These features allow both on-site or remote monitoring applications which are useful in many industry segments in addition to public safety.
Safe Skies, an independent third-party non-profit organization that is funded by the Federal Aviation Administration, conducts rigorous and thorough tests to detect threats, nuisance & false alarms, reliability, and maintainability within active airport operational and environmental conditions.
Safe Skies performs its evaluations under an ISO 9001:2015-approved Quality Management System.
