Evolv Express™, powered by the Evolv Cortex AI Software Platform, delivers the frictionless high-speed smart firearm and bomb detection system that screens over 3600 people per hour (60 people per minute) and gets smarter over time.

Evolv Technology, a leader in free-flow smart threat detection, and a recognized Winner in the 2018 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program, is pleased to announce that Evolv Express™, has been nominated to compete in the 2019 ‘ASTORS’ Awards Program.

Evolv Express™ is a frictionless smart firearm and bomb detection system, that makes it possible to prevent active shooters and bombers from entering a venue, without sacrificing the visitor experience with the first walk-through free-flow smart threat detection technology.

Evolv Express keeps high volume entrances flowing by reliably detecting guns and other weapons as visitors walk through at a natural pace.

Whereas the Evolv Edge®, released November 2017, screens individuals one-at-a-time as they pass through the system for venues who want a control point, Express screens large groups of people at a time with no stopping, no emptying of pockets or removing bags.

It’s now possible to deter and detect potential active bombers and shooters from entering your venue without sacrificing the visitor experience.
It’s now possible to deter and detect potential active bombers and shooters from entering your venue without sacrificing the visitor experience.

Evolv Express is one of the fastest threat-screening product on the market, allowing for 60 people to be screened every minute, that’s 3,600 per hour – 10x faster than metal detectors.

It ensures every individual and their belongings are screened as they pass through without even breaking stride.

The Evolv Cortex AI Software Platform combines unique sensor networks, software-powered AI threat recognition, powerful analytics and cloud connectivity to deliver no-stop walk-through entrance security.

STOP THE ACTIVE SHOOTER. DON’T STOP YOUR VISITORS.
STOP THE ACTIVE SHOOTER. DON’T STOP YOUR VISITORS.

And, unlike traditional checkpoint systems, with the Evolv Cortex AI Software Platform built in, the system is constantly learning – meaning Express “evolves” over time as new threats are identified.

• Sensor Network helps Evolv Express See More Weapons Quickly & More Accurately
• Data Fusion Engine Fuels the Express’ Machine Learning with Clean, Smart Data
• Threat AI Classifier Makes Express More Intelligent Over Time
• Integration API Gives Express Interoperability
• Threat Intelligence Cloud Allows Express Customers to Upload New Threat Profiles to Continually Increase Accuracy

The Evolv Cortex AI Software Platform not only senses threats instantly and accurately, it also shows security personnel exactly where weapons or items of interest reside on the person’s body, empowering them to take precise, quick action.

Evolv Express reduces the burden on security teams and takes the hassle out of people screening providing the level of safety venues need without sacrificing throughput and the customer experience.

Virginia Beach. Dayton. El Paso. Gilroy.

Four cities in the U.S. that have been devastated by the violence of a mass shooting in the past 2 months alone.

There were 340 mass shootings in the US in 2018, and the numbers continue to grow in 2019.

(The United States is once again in shock tonight after 29 people were killed in two mass shootings within hours of each other dozens more were injured, many still in a critical condition. Courtesy of Channel 4 News and YouTube. Posted on Aug 4, 2019.)

After each time one of these horrific events occur, we are subjected to the same exact talking points from both sides of the political spectrum.

Gun control laws that may not impact or stop actual shootings.

Thoughts and prayers for the victims, but no action to take even small legislative steps that could minimize the impact of a shooting or prevent a mentally ill shooter from getting the weapons they need.

There’s a third leg of the stool that has been ignored – changing our approach to security at public venues.

In this era of viral violence, venues like hospitals, schools, concerts, sporting events, places of worship, workplaces and more have become soft targets.

Globally, terrorist attacks (including mass shooters) have murdered thousands of citizens who were doing nothing but going about their daily lives.

The growing societal menace calls for a new approach to be layered onto the gun control and mental illness challenges – giving venue security teams the tools required to identify and stop potential shooters.

Screens over 3600 people per hour. Visitors can walk through side-by-side or in groups.
Screens over 3600 people per hour. Visitors can walk through side-by-side or in groups.

To create safe environments, our industry needs to provide venue security teams with the tools required to identify and stop potential shooters – this requires a rethinking of security strategies and requires new technologies that can prevent a mass shooting without slowing everything down, alarming everyone, or impacting constitutional rights.

Public venues need to be able to rapidly screen thousands of people, while balancing the customer experience with the need for security.

Traditional approaches like metal detectors, wands and physical pat downs create long lines – which can be soft targets like the Manchester bombing.

The approach is similar to the TSA approach of flagging anything that resembles a weapon – but often times simply creates long lines and bogs the process down.

Security professionals waste time on non-threats, while the customers become frustrated for having to remove cell phones, keys, belts and more, and stand around for a pat down.

The worst part is that traditional metal detectors are based on technology that is more than 100 years old and are unable to distinguish between a gun and a cell phone.

Identifying everything metallic does not improve security – it creates a vacuum that many threats can slip into.
