The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Sacramento field office, has announced an increase in the reward offered for Javier Montanez, Jr. A reward of up to $10,000 is now offered for information leading to the arrest of Montanez.
Also known as “Spidey,” Montanez is a Hispanic male who stands 5′ 8″ tall, with short, black hair, and brown eyes. He was born in French Camp, California, on February 11, 1987.
Montanez is wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of a man in Galt, California, on January 6, 2006.
While leaving a party at a residence located in the 700 block of Moose Creek Way during an argument, Montanez allegedly engaged in a separate verbal altercation with the victim, Clinton Poole, who lived at a nearby residence.
According to witness statements, the altercation between Montanez and the victim escalated to a physical fight and Montanez is alleged to have jumped the victim, knocking him to the ground while kicking and punching him.
During the fight, Montanez, who was reportedly armed with a large knife, allegedly inflicted a fatal stab wound to the victim’s chest.
Montanez was also injured during the fight and sought treatment at Lodi Memorial Hospital.
He has a tattoo on his back and may also bear scars on his back and neck from his injuries.
A felony arrest warrant for a murder charge was issued for Montanez by the Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento on January 9, 2006.
On August 26, 2008, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Montanez for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution.
