FBI Seeks Help & Offers Reward on Armed Robberies (See Video)

The FBI Washington Field Office, along with the Alexandria Police Department, the Fairfax County Police Department, the Bladensburg Police Department, and the Prince George’s County Police Department, is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three armed robbers who have targeted nine commercial establishments in Northern Virginia and Maryland over the past two months.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of these criminals.

These individuals have committed armed robberies at the following locations:

  • November 1, 2016: 7-Eleven located at 2305 Huntington Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia (Fairfax County)
  • November 16, 2016: 7-Eleven located at 800 Franklin Street in Alexandria, Virginia
  • November 22, 2016: 7-Eleven located at 3023 Duke Street in Alexandria, Virginia
  • December 6, 2016: Dash In located at 11001 Livingston Road in Fort Washington, Maryland
  • December 7, 2016: 7-Eleven located at 2002 Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia
  • December 13, 2016: 7-Eleven located at 30 S. Reynolds Street in Alexandria, Virginia
  • December 13, 2016: 7-Eleven located at 5456 Annapolis Road in Bladensburg, Maryland
  • December 15, 2016: Quality Inn located at 7212 Richmond Highway in Alexandria, Virginia (Fairfax County)
  • December 22, 2016: 7-Eleven located at 4921 Edgewood Road in College Park, Maryland

In each of these robberies, witnesses described two to three unidentified male subjects. The first subject was described as a black male, approximately 5’7” with a slim build. The second subject was described as a black male, approximately 6’0” with a slim build, and wearing a distinctive dark-colored Helly Hansen coat in several of the robberies. The third subject was seen in the robberies on November 1 and December 22, and was described only as an unidentified black male. All three subjects wore masks to conceal their faces.

On November 1, 2016, at approximately 12:30 a.m., three unidentified male subjects entered the 7-Eleven located at 2305 Huntington Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia armed with two handguns.

  • They ordered the employees and patrons to the floor and announced a robbery.
  • The subjects took an undisclosed amount of cash and boxes of cigarettes before fleeing the scene.
  • The subjects were observed fleeing in a light-colored Dodge minivan.

On November 16, 2016, at approximately 11:24 p.m., two male subjects entered the 7-Eleven located at 800 Franklin Street in Alexandria, Virginia, armed with one handgun.

  • One subject forced an employee to open the register, while the second subject took multiple boxes of cigarettes.
  • Both subjects fled the store in an unknown direction.

On November 22, 2016, at approximately 9:35 p.m., two subjects entered the 7-Eleven located at 3023 Duke Street in Alexandria, Virginia armed with one handgun.

  • One subject forced an employee to open the register, while the second subject took multiple boxes of cigarettes.
  • Both subjects were last seen fleeing the store northbound on Cambridge Road.

On December 6, 2016 at approximately 10:37 p.m., two subjects entered the Dash In located at 11001 Livingston Road in Fort Washington, Maryland armed with a handgun.

  • The subjects forced an employee to open the register.
  • The subjects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and from one victim, as well as boxes of cigarettes, before fleeing the scene.

On December 7, 2016 at approximately 12:01 a.m., two subjects entered the 7-Eleven located at 2002 Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia.

  • One subject forced an employee to open the registers.
  • The subject proceeded to take an undisclosed amount of money while the second subject took multiple boxes of cigarettes.
  • After the completion of the robbery, both subjects were last seen fleeing eastbound on Eisenhower Avenue and turning southbound on Hooffs Run Drive.

On December 13, 2016 at approximately 10:01 p.m., two subjects entered the 7-Eleven located at 30 S. Reynolds Street in Alexandria, Virginia.

  • The subjects forced the employees to open the registers and took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the store.
  • They were seen fleeing to the parking lot of 100 S. Reynolds Street and entering a silver vehicle.
  • The vehicle was last observed heading northbound on Reynolds Street and turning eastbound on Duke Street.

On December 13, 2016 at approximately 11:09 p.m., two subjects entered the 7-Eleven located at 5456 Annapolis Rd in Bladensburg armed with a handgun.

  • The subjects forced the employee to open the registers and took an undisclosed amount of money and several boxes of cigarettes before fleeing the store in an unknown direction.

On December 15, 2016 at approximately 10:43 p.m., two subjects entered the Quality Inn located at 7212 Richmond Highway in Alexandria, Virginia.

  • The subjects entered the main lobby of the motel, displayed a handgun, and took cash before fleeing the motel.
  • They were last observed entering a silver four door vehicle.

On December 22, 2016 at approximately 10:59 p.m., three subjects entered the 7-Eleven store located at 4921 Edgewood Rd in College Park, Maryland.

  • They announced the robbery by displaying a handgun.
  • The subjects received cash and cigarettes and fled towards Edgewood Road.
