GTL has introduced a major release of its industry-leading centralized inmate calling system featuring a new user interface that enables facility customers to access the system through mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.
“Today people expect to be able to access everything on a smartphone or a tablet, whether it’s shopping, banking, trading stocks, or even setting their thermostat,” said Eric Gonzalez, Executive Director of Product Management for Inmate Telephones at GTL.
“Now our corrections customers can operate and administer our inmate phone system from any location with any wireless device and have all of the same security they expect when accessing our system from within their facility.”

GTL’s inmate telephone platform is the most reliable and robust system in the corrections market, with over 1,000 features and functions used to manage the security of inmate phone calls and protect the safety of the public.

“The result is an upgrade for users that will be as easy to use as adapting to a new layout on their favorite website. While enhancing mobility capabilities, we made all of our features easier to use and further enhanced backend security.”
“I can say with confidence that we have the most secure and state-of-the-art phone platform in the corrections industry.”
GTL will be deploying this solution to its customers throughout the early part of 2017.
