i-PRO Year One: Launches 100+ New Cameras & Earns Double Digit Growth

Following separation from Panasonic, 2022 ‘ASTORS’ Award Champion i-PRO Initiates Inspirational Cultural Change that Redefines Company’s Business Field and Partner Relationships
Following separation from Panasonic, 2022 ‘ASTORS’ Award Champion i-PRO Initiates Inspirational Cultural Change that Redefines Company’s Business Field and Partner Relationships

i-PRO, a global leader in professional security solutions, and the 2022 Platinum ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Award Winner for Best Vehicle Mounted Law Enforcement Solution, is proud to announce double-digit growth in its first year of business following its independence from Panasonic.

By combining the innovative spirit and of a start-up with the rich heritage gained through 60 years of innovation, i-PRO has, in one year, introduced more than 100 new camera models, built key partnerships, launched in multiple locations around the world and achieved double-digit growth, all in service of its mission to democratize AI.

The foundation of the i-PRO’s success is its Boldness, Trust, and Flexibility (BTF) culture, established by its employees when they collectively identified these concepts to drive the new company forward.

It’s BTF mindset engendered a strategy based on two principles, ‘open policy’ and ‘time-based competition.’

Revamping Manufacturing to Drive Innovation, and Reconnecting with Partners

Under i-PRO’s open policy, the company works to create ecosystem where AI can flourish, and customers can quickly and easily access the advancing technology.

In its first year the company i-PRO has aggressively built partnerships with leading Video Management Systems (VMS) vendors, AI analytics vendors and integrators worldwide.

i-PRO also introduced the i-PRO EZ-2 Partner Portal, built to simplify the way integrators, resellers and distribution partners conduct business with the company, providing instant access to inventory levels and enables users to create quick quotes 24/7.

(i-PRO‘s smallest and lightest Multi-Directional + PTZ camera, is the only one available in the market with 6 edge AI applications, meeting FIPS 140-2 level 3 standard for cybersecurity resiliency as well as NDAA compliance. AI-based object recognition enables a seamless hand-off from the multi-directional camera to the PTZ while AI auto-tracking ensures the PTZ doesn’t lose lock on the subject. The camera can be used for various outdoor and indoor installations, complemented by accessories that allow for discreet, low-profile interior use. Courtesy of i-PRO and YouTube.)

i-PRO’s time-based competition strategy focuses on minimizing time that does not deliver value from across the entire development-to-delivery chain, helping customers reduce opportunity costs.

This principle drove the expansion of i-PRO’s manufacturing center in Japan, moving much of its manufacturing from Cambodia to the new facility close to the company’s R&D hub in Fukuoka, Japan.

This move allows i-PRO to rapidly produce a range of customized camera products with delivery times far quicker than its competitors, and also enables new agile production engineering initiatives that allow implementation of a high-mix/low volume strategy which in turn enables processes such as made-to-order manufacturing.

This process has enabled i-PRO to produce more than 100 new camera models in 12 months, and achieve the highest level of cyber-security certification with up to FIPS 140-2 level 3 compliance.

(i-PRO newly released Multi-Sensor S series Multi-Directional Dual Sensor cameras efficiently monitor 2 separate areas simultaneously such as hallway intersections with a small form factor requiring minimum power, cabling and only a single VMS license. All i-PRO Dual Sensor cameras are equipped as standard with a secure element that complies with FIPS 140-2 level 3 certification making them highly cyber resilient and fully NDAA compliant. “We are all proud to be here and are encouraged to see that being bold, flexible, and building trust, is delivering positive results,” explains i-PRO Americas President Bill Brennan.”

i-PRO WV-VCF41P 4K
The i-PRO WV-VCF41P 4K advanced lens and sensor combination accurately records events as they unfold across the entire scene in front of the vehicle.
  • Unlike traditional forward-facing cameras, the WV-VCF41P provides a full 150-degree field of view. The innovative lens is specifically designed to minimize distortion and edge warping, resulting in the widest angle offered. Behind the lens, the camera’s 4K sensor is i-PRO’s highest resolution sensor for mobile video evidence applications. This advanced lens and sensor combination accurately records events as they unfold across the entire scene in front of the vehicle. With support for detailed forensic zooming into areas of interest without image blurring, the WV-VCF41P presents the clearest possible evidence.

  • Policing with an in-car video system is more demanding than ever, with the expectation that each interaction and event will be captured on video. Many in-vehicle cameras offer a limited field of view between 55 and 85 degrees, and are unable to record what occurs to the extreme left and right of the central focus.

i-pro WV-VCF41P 4K
Having a 150-degree field of view that uses a 4K resolution sensor allows our in-vehicle video camera to capture the incident with the widest angle offered in a high-quality camera, making every pixel count.
  • The compact design of the versatile WV-VCF41P fits behind the rearview mirror so it does not obstruct the driver’s view. Its 32:9 aspect ratio image reduces storage requirements by cropping away unnecessary areas, such as the sky or a vehicle’s hood, allowing agencies to concentrate on the relevant parts of the evidence. A simple Power over Ethernet connection allows for easy installation, and a built-in G-force sensor provides automatic activation upon impact which reduces the cost and complexity of installing a separate sensor.
