Intelligent Waves, a leading tech integrator that delivers mission-focused multi-domain operational expertise and innovation to the Government through high-impact technology solutions, is pleased to announce its GRAYPATH Next-Generation Cyber-Defense Solution has been Nominated to compete in the 2023 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Program.

Recently, Intelligent Waves introduced its new ground-breaking solution that captures the spirit of the American Security Today’s Homeland Security Awards competition:
GRAYPATH.

GRAYPATH is an industry-leading Edge Attack Surface Management solution that addresses VPN vulnerabilities to secure classified communications. This exceptional innovation has garnered the respect of the high-tech homeland security, military and intelligence community.

In light of the recent hacking of national U.S. critical infrastructures like the Oil Pipeline and Government cybersecurity domains, Attack surface management is important because it helps to prevent and mitigate risks stemming from Legacy, vulnerable and outdated software, IoT, and shadow IT assets, and human mistakes and omissions, such as phishing and data leaks.

CHALLENGE: Vulnerable and outdated software.

GRAYPATH IS PART OF THE SOLUTION.

GRAYPATH is a software-defined, cloud-hosted, Distributed Virtual Network (DVN) that uses Spread Spectrum IP technology to provide unprecedented security, performance, and reliability.

The GRAYPATH spread spectrum IP separates application traffic data packets and simultaneously bursts the packets across multiple secure communications channels and agnostic communications mediums.

As a result, GRAYPATH provides unprecedented data security by simultaneously bursting application packets across multiple encrypted channels, provides superior performance by sharing data throughput capacity across numerous mediums, and ensures exceptional reliability through automated monitoring of data channels and autonomous “smart switching” of data pathways.

The GRAYPATH Next-Generation Cyber-Defense Solution is a simple, asymmetric solution that ensures robust, reliable, secure, non-attributable global communication for missions that require obfuscated access to catch the ‘Bad Guys’.

Through its patented IP Spread Spectrum technology, GRAYPATH leverages the cloud to randomize and distribute message packets by using multiple transport paths and encrypted channels.

GRAYPATH algorithms optimize throughput by continuously sensing and adjusting the message flow according to channel availability and bandwidth capacity creating a smoother connection even for HD video transmissions.

As a result,  GRAYPATH dramatically lowers the risk of detection and interception and is nearly impervious to disruption.

What is GRAYPATH?

GRAYPATH is a virtual networking approach comprised of software components that channelize, route, and accelerate application data to significantly enhance network security, reliability, and performance across branches and devices, including laptops, tablets, phones, and IoT.

GRAYPATH allows access to a shared secure datacenter, without exposing or compromising a friendly network.

GRAYPATH algorithms optimize throughput by continuously sensing and adjusting the message flow according to channel availability and bandwidth capacity creating a smoother connection even for HD video transmissions.

GRAYPATH dramatically lowers the risk of detection and interception and is nearly impervious to disruption.

GRAYPATH provides a flexible and secure SD-WAN fabric mesh across both trusted, government-managed connections in the Ubiquitous Black Fabric (UBF) and public commercial connections by creating an equally secure “LAN over commercial WAN” fabric to establish the Ubiquitous Hidden Core (UHC).

GRAYPATH uses innovative bandwidth aggregation over any quantity of public and private connectivity services to provide full SD-WAN functionality even over very low bandwidth and denied, degraded, intermittent, and latent (DDIL) connections.

GRAYPATH’s architecture enables agencies to securely utilize one Gateway to manage multiple and differing classified enclaves, each having its separate LANs, firewalls, and encryption devices.

This improves the manageability of network traffic and reduces cost by eliminating the need for each classified enclave to have its own dedicated network circuits for connectivity.

(See Why GRAYPATH is a simple, asymmetric solution that ensures robust, reliable, secure, non-attributable global communication. Courtesy of Intelligent Waves and Vimeo.)

In summary,  GRAYPATH serves Homeland Security, Justice, and the DoD cyber defense operations communities in the following manner:

  • GRAYPATH allows access to a secure, shared data center without exposing or compromising a social network.

  • GRAYPATH connects to a secure data center in a hostile environment with a high Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS) presence without exposing TTP.

  • GRAYPATH connects to a secure data center using host nation networks in an active foreign intelligence service environment.

  • GRAYPATH guarantees the availability of the network and uptime because the user doesn’t control the network.

In January, Intelligent Waves GRAYPATH, was awarded a prime contract with a Defense Agency for an undisclosed amount.
