After issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) in 2018, Tustin Police Department undertook a rigorous selection process to identify a CAD/RMS system that would maximize functionality and reliability.

To evaluate Mark43, a committee with stakeholders from all divisions within the police department conducted an extensive due diligence process, which included reviewing demonstrations and conducting on-site meetings at three Mark43 user agencies in California.

Across the board, Mark43’s California customers praised the company’s great customer service with Mark43’s 24/7/365 support and willingness to listen and adapt to their unique needs.

Ultimately, Tustin Police Department selected Mark43 for their modern platform, configuration flexibility, and continuous strides in innovation based on customer feedback.

Mark43’s technology is also embedded with the public safety market’s most advanced National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) capabilities and adheres to the industry’s highest security standards.

The platform is in compliance with Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) and SOC 2 security requirements, enabling users to focus on the mission-critical work of keeping communities safe without worrying about security and compliant report-writing.

  • Dynamic fields display only when contextually relevant

  • Active error detection eliminates time-consuming revisions and duplicate records

  • Single-application workflows eliminate transcription and constant window switching

  • Configurable fields, barcodes, and location aliases maintain uniform records as policies change

  • Open API sends data between third-parties and Mark43 RMS

Security & Stability in the Cloud

Mark43 is the first to offer an integrated software platform built on true multi-tenant cloud architecture and the industry-leading AWS GovCloud.

This means:

  • FBI CJIS capable data storage and sharing

  • Regular software upgrades with zero downtime

  • Predictable, annual subscription pricing

  • Rapid, scalable implementation for multi-jurisdictional use

Mark43’s Records Management System (RMS) provides the most intuitive, quickest law enforcement report-writing experience possible, while Mark43 Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) is the best-designed public safety dispatch platform available.

MARK43 CAD

Mark43 CAD and Mark43 RMS leverage the data your agency already collects to keep first responders safer and better informed.

  • Bidirectional syncing pulls all related CAD event and report histories to the front of event assignments with links to dig deeper

  • Multi-level cautions visually aggregate pertinent information for immediate contextual awareness of a scene

There’s no reason for first responders to blindly enter dangerous situations when critical information about a person or location can be at their disposal.

The Mark43 CAD will also enable users to focus exclusively on the mission-critical aspects of the job by providing a logical, natural, and simple tech experience.

  • Manageable presets for multiple agencies, units, call signs, priority levels, and statuses fit how your agency communicates and works – without a vendor work order or upgrade

Mission-Critical Mapping

Fully integrated AVL mapping — at no extra cost to your agency — keeps dispatchers and units in tune and connected to the communities they protect and serve.

  • Unit and event markers intuitively animate real-time GPS data from vehicles and department issued smartphones so active responders always know what’s going on and where

  • Google-integrated map and satellite views can be layered with agency-provided hotspots and multi-jurisdictional GIS data through a shape file import wizard

With a dedicated customer support team, Mark43 provides unwavering 24/7 support to address any customer needs or questions as they arise.

Seamless Data Exchange

Mark43 CAD and Mark43 RMS are natively linked to federal, state, and local databases, so first responders don’t have to radio for help or hopelessly sift through search results in multiple applications.

  • NCIC and other inquiry results attach to CAD event information for quick and easy reference during an active incident and transfer to the RMS during subsequent report writing

  • Platform-wide search performance means hundreds of thousands to millions of results can be queried in under one second and quickly routed to appropriate parties
