Last night the U.S. Marshals Task Force with the assistance of the Keene Police Department arrested Jeremiah Holmes aka “Boston”, 30, at 50 Winchester Court in Keene. Holmes was wanted on an arrest warrant for attempted murder in a September 3rd shooting in Coatesville, PA.
The U.S. Marshals Task Force in Philadelphia was asked to assist in the fugitive investigation and developed information that led them to believe Holmes had fled to New Hampshire were he also had an active parole warrant for criminal threatening.
The New Hampshire Task Force then tracked Holmes to the address on Winchester Ct., where he attempted to escape out a second floor window.
Holmes was stopped from fleeing by a Keene Police K-9 Unit, at which time Holmes climbed back into the residence and was arrested without further incident.
The Keene Police Department charged Holmes as a fugitive from justice and he was then taken to the Cheshire County Department of Corrections where he is being held on the outstanding parole warrant.
U.S. Marshal, David Cargill said, “We are fortunate to have members of the public who are willing to make a call to the police to help make their communities safer for everyone.” Cargill continued, “Thank you to the anonymous tipster, and to the officers from the Keene Police Department who quickly acted on this tip and arrested Holmes.”
