Motorola Solutions has been awarded a five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract capped at $495 million by the U.S. Army to update its global mission-critical communications network.
Motorola Solutions will supply the Army with Land Mobile Radio (LMR) P25 subscriber unit radios, accessories, warranty and ancillary services to include installation, programming, training and maintenance, as part of the contract.
Motorola Solutions is one of five vendors contracted to modernize the Army’s communications, using the P25 standard to ensure interoperability between devices, enhance security and improve reliability of communications.
