TerrorTech LLC, developer of TerrorMate – the world’s first terror alert app, and the 2017 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Platinum Award Winner for Best Best Emergency Mobile Technology, uncovered the recent online threat made against Prince George and shared the intelligence with British counter terrorist authorities.

This information, together with other intelligence gathered by British services, led to an arrest and potentially prevented a terrorist attack.

Earlier this month, a would-be Islamic State fighter who appeared in a British court, was accused of assisting in a plot to attack Prince George.

Prosecutors said Husnain Rashid, from Lancashire, England, posted details of the elementary school attended by Queen Elizabeth II’s great-grandson on the messaging app Telegram.

Rashid is alleged to have sent Prince George’s picture and school address to his friends with message “even royals won’t be left alone” on the online news and social networking service Twitter.

Rashid was allegedly planning to join ISIS in Syria but had also posted the information to encourage an attack on George, the eldest child of Prince William and wife Kate.

Rashid faces two charges of preparing acts of terrorism and assisting others to commit acts of terrorism.

Commenting on how everything unfolded, Barry Oberholzer, co-founder of TerrorMate said, “The breakthrough on our side came when TerrorTech’s proprietary software first picked up the online threat on Twitter.

“Our intelligence analysts, based in our 24-hour international operations center, quickly passed the information on to British officials who verified the information and deemed it credible after validating it against their own intelligence obtained from the messaging app Telegram.”

Based in Belgium, TerrorMate’s 24-hour international operations center pairs expert analysis with cutting-edge technology to identify and track mass shootings, terror threats, and terrorist attacks across the globe.

Former military and intelligence personnel employ an integrated approach to gather real-time terrorist and mass shooting data.

They then analyze, verify, and rapidly share vital information with the public during critical events to ensure the optimum degree of safety.

TerrorMate™ – The App that Saves Your Life, Rather than Shares Your Life!

The real-time intelligence system with well-established terror attack and terror threat alerting capabilities will now deliver structured, accurate mass shooting alerts and safety recommendations to its users within two minutes of an attack anywhere in the world.

“In the wake of the October mass shooting at the Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas, our supportive, proactive user base urged us to broaden the categories and scope of TerrorMate’s alerts, so we quickly expanded our reporting and warning capabilities to include mass shootings,” explains Barry Oberholzer, founder of TerrorMate.

On average, TerrorMate alerts users eight minutes faster than the mainstream media.

“In a potentially life threatening event where every second counts, actionable and verified information is crucial.”

“In two minutes or less, the TerrorMate app warns users of a mass shooting event and relays critical information to inform on-scene decisions that could save lives.”
