Third-party risk has caused millions of dollars in loss and damage.
The heightened pace of attacks and constant evolution of malware and tactics make it imperative that organizations and agencies be constantly vigilant and approach risk management with programmatic precision.
Virtually every day, the volume of relevant information on homeland security risks and threat actors grows, as do the compliance burdens of new and evolving regulations.
The Santa Fe Group, a member-driven leader in third party risk assurance, has built the Shared Assessments Program to address these challenges.
Shared Assessments is a membership ecosystem of cross-industry organizations encompassing outsourcers to vendors to regulators to technology providers.
Shared Assessments is an epicenter of risk management, benefiting from the diverse perspectives of many of the world’s most innovative practitioners in Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM).
Shared Assessments efforts result in a collective intelligence on TPRM and compliance that is the foundation of all of our thought leadership, and the foundation of tools now relied upon by security and risk-minded organizations around the world.
Some of Shared Assessments’ most helpful state-of-the-art TPRM tools and best practices are readily available free of charge.
The Shared Assessments Program is a trusted source for third party risk management with resources, including tools and best practices, to effectively manage the critical elements of the vendor risk management lifecycle.

As the trusted source for TPRM, the Shared Assessments Program was selected for its ability to consistently help organizations stay up to date in the threat and risk environment, including regulations, industry standards, and guidelines.
The Program uses a two-step approach to managing third party risk and follows a “trust, but verify” approach, enabling companies to fine-tune their third party risk management programs according to each individual strategy.
“Almost every day, headlines and world events remind us how important it is to identify and address the physical and digital vulnerabilities that are so readily exploited by bad actors,” shared Catherine A. Allen, chairman and CEO of Shared Assessments.
“We are honored to be recognized in the distinguished 2019 ‘ASTORS’ Awards Program for our achievements and advances in TPRM offerings and solutions.”
“This award is further validation that our Program helps enable security leaders to stay abreast of today’s third party risks and be aware of the tools and solutions needed.”
