Securiport Credited with Airport Interception of Dangerous Fugitive

Securiport’s Integrated Immigration Control System (IICS), a 2016 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Winner, has been credited with the detection and interception of a dangerous fugitive while attempting to embark on a plane at the Dakar international airport.

The Securiport IICS System provides a comprehensive security package that includes expert systems and support services for immigration processing, passenger biometric recognition, and intelligent information management and reporting for criminal profiling and the detection of persons of interest.

Otto ‘Prince Charming’ Longola

According to recent media reports in Dakar, Senegal, a French National was apprehended for acts of armed robbery and wanted by Interpol, after being detected through Securiport’s Integrated Immigration Control System (IICS).

With the intelligent watch-list management database implemented at the International Airport of Dakar, security authorities on-site were alerted immediately and were able to intercept the suspect.

Since the apprehension of the Central African citizen, Otto ‘Prince Charming’ Longola has been imprisoned in Rebeuss jail while awaiting his December extradition to France.

African Media further reported that the alleged criminal, known for allegedly impersonating a businessman through a fictitious company, was highly sought by Interpol at the request of the court of Bordeaux.

Upon Longola’s arrest, French officials asked for the extradition of the Central African citizen that was captured at Dakar International Airport.

Throughout 2016, Securiport has successfully aided officials in several African countries with apprehending international criminals on the international watch lists.

Similar to the latest incident involving Longola, numerous arrests have occurred at the Senegalese airport through the use of Securiport’s traveler screening tools.

Securiport’s threat detecting systems alert immigration officials of possible risks in real-time. A recognized leader in border security through the use of intelligent immigration controls and aviation security solutions, Securiport is the “gold standard” for providing tools for threat assessment and identifying trans-national criminal activities.

In addition to providing proprietary threat assessment tools, Securiport’s exclusive systems also conduct passenger biometric screening and security controls of travelers.

Securiport’s Intelligent Information Management System (IIMS)

ASTOR Platinum Award

Securiport also offers an Intelligent Information Management System (IIMS), a second 2016 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Winner for Securiport, is a unique, patented profiling system developed by Securiport that applies specialized data-mining techniques and complex algorithms to detect in real time persons of interest to the state.

  • Provides specialized tools to generate profiles of criminal types.
  • Collects, from multinational sources, structured and unstructured data relating to criminal activity.
  • Uses the collected data to identify individuals who fit criminal profiles during immigration processing and in any other environments as the government might wish.

Intelligent Information Management System Comprises of:

  • Intelligent data analysis
  • Multi-source data mining
  • Behavioral models
  • Transnational crime detection
  • Profile generation by criminal type
  • Person-of-interest recognition in real time
  • Intelligent information reports

Specifically, the IIMS include the following tools:

securiport_criminal-profile-generation-tools_iims1. CRIMINAL-PRO FILE GENERATION TOOLS

The criminal-profile generating tools provided with the IIMS allow government authorities to define in detail the typology of any number of categories of domestic or transnational criminals in such areas as human trafficking, drug smuggling, terrorism, weapons smuggling, money laundering, tax evasion, organized crime, and others.

2. BACKGROUND DATA GATHERING

The IIMS continuously searches worldwide sources for data related to active criminal profiles, analyzes the data with advanced data-mining techniques, and then stores the results in local databases. The data the IIMS obtains come from both structured and unstructured sources.

3. RISK ASSESSMENT

During immigration processing, or in other contexts as the security authorities might require,

the IIMS determines if a subject’s personal background data matches a criminal profile, thus identifying a person of interest.

4. DATA SECURITY

Securiport does not operate the IIMS or have access to its data. This is performed by personnel of the client government fully trained by Securiport. All data is encrypted and only the client government has the keys to decode it, effectively preventing any external party from unauthorized access.
