Law enforcement is a life or death profession and when the unthinkable happens, every second counts.
Officers understand that in most cases they will never see it coming and no matter what scenario they train for, it never happens that way.
Law enforcement and first responders need every advantage they can get.
And with no ‘monthly fee solutions’, Double ‘ASTORS’ Award Winning Select Engineering Services (SES), is turning the sensor industry upside down with their AID (Automatic Injury Detection), and PET (Personal Emergency Transmitter) personal safety communication systems.
Select Engineering Services sensor solutions offer the ultimate tactical advantage in preplanning, dispatching your help and protecting your officers.
Normal communication, authentication repeats, and errors are at best difficult when under duress, or incapacitated.
In the golden hour time is critical and help only comes if your team or department KNOWS that an attack occurred, and where your officer is.

Hiring officers has become much tougher with some departments reporting a decrease of 60% in recruiting and citing officer safety as being one of the main issues.
The ‘ASTORS’ Award Winning AID (Automatic Injury Detection) system helps address this issue with rapid response when activated.
AID notifies the agency, other officers and EMS in seconds, providing single or multiple attack awareness, a common operating picture and makes the agency and officer much more resilient to active shooters and attacks.
This is a revolutionary jump in communication using push data instead of pull, requiring no user input.
Utilizing the penetration circuit sensors – AID detects, knives, crossbows, compound bows, gunshots and even IED’s – and instantly reports any penetrating injury affecting the coverage area.
If a bullet, knife or any penetration cuts through the flexible mylar panel, an immediate alert will be sent out over radio, as well as by text message to up to 30 recipients, advising the recipients as to the identify of the officer/officers, what area of their body was injured, the officer’s heart rate and a GPS map identifying their exact location.
Additionally, AID will communicate the injured officer’s medical information so first responders will be advised as to blood types and/or any relevant allergies before even deploying to the site.
SES has dedicated itself to doing all that is possible to protect those individuals who place their lives on the line every day in order to protect us.
AID KEY BENEFITS INCLUDE:

Community safety increase:
Officer(s) being the critical first line of defense, every second the shooter has, can cause more casualties – we need to put time back on their side with the fastest possible coordinated response.
The ‘ASTORS’ Award Winning Personal Emergency Transmitter (PET), from Select Engineering Services, can improve personal safety and provide instantaneous alert notification involving injury.
PET sends an automated emergency alert via a text message with just the press of a button to up to 30 recipients, providing the senders ID and a link to their GPS location.
The button press can also automatically initiate a phone call so the recipient can listen in at the scene and/or communicate directly.
PET is a wearable device similar in size to an ID card, which includes a smartphone APP and connects to the phone via Bluetooth.
PET always remains on automatically connecting whenever the phone is turned on.
