SpotterRF, a leader in low cost compact surveillance radar (CSR) has been named the Gold ‘ASTORS’ Award Winner for “Best UAV Perimeter Protection Solution” by American Security Today at ISC East in New York City.

This recognition comes with the recent introduction of SpotterRF A-series radar, a textbook sized, solid state radar with a larger coverage area for detecting small drones.

This series expands SpotterRF’s economical radar lineup covering ground, sea, and air threats.

“SpotterRF provides cost effective perimeter ‘beyond fences’ protection, and secures our nation’s critical electrical substations with its patented Compact Surveillance Radar systems,” said Tammy Waitt, AST Editorial Director.

“Congratulations to SpotterRF’s Outstanding Product Development Achievements and unique 3-band approach, to address the growing Homeland Security Threats our Nation is facing.”

“The FAA’s projection of millions of drones by 2020 perimeter security a three-dimensional problem with threats coming from the land, sea or air,“ explained Logan Harris, SpotterRF CEO.

“The pioneering SpotterRF A-series provides flexibility to address this challenge, reducing installation and maintenance costs when compared to traditional radar.”

The A-Series radar provides drone detection and tracking for even a small hobby drone (ex. DJI Phantom) and protects an aerial perimeter up to more than 150 football fields.

Because each radar is about the size and weight of a small textbook, takes less than 20 Watts of power, and mounts on existing infrastructure, these radar sensors can be distributed through a complex urban environment, while still providing complete coverage above and below the horizon.
