Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez gave a media briefing early Sunday morning, saying that all three ‘seasoned’ deputies are expected to survive their injuries. On Twitter Chief Gonzalez followed up by sharing, “Good Sunday morning all, a new day has risen. Feeling both grief and gratitude today. Reminded that there is still mourning left to do, and a new calendar year doesn’t change that. We lost many who didn’t see 2021, and now a great man and teammate in Sgt.
