ICE ERO ops target public safety threats, like convicted criminal aliens & gang members, as well as people who've otherwise violated immigration laws, including those who illegally re-entered the US after being removed & immigration fugitives ordered removed by fed immigration judges. When law enforcement agencies fail to honor immigration detainers and release serious criminal offenders onto the streets, it undermines ICE’s ability to protect public safety and carry out its mission.
