The United States Navy Recruiting Command just announced they are offering an enlistment bonus of $25,000 to anyone who enlists in the U.S. Navy Active Duty.

The Navy is the only U.S. military branch currently offering this high of an enlistment bonus for any new enlisted, and depending on an enlistee’s rating the enlistment bonus could be as high as $50,000.

Those who take advantage of the Navy’s new bonus program will be required to ship to Basic Training at Great Lakes, IL, between April-June, 2022.

The $25,000 bonus also applies to Active-Duty enlistees scheduled to ship to Basic Training in July-September, who are willing to roll into the shipping months of April-June.

In addition, Prior Service Members, either Navy or other services, re-enlisting onto Active Duty in pay grade E-4 or below, and who meet specific bonus eligibility and have not received a bonus in their first enlistment, also qualify for the $25,000 bonus.

• Air Rescue Swimmer (AIRR-ATF) — $24,000

(As an Aviation Rescue Swimmer (AIRR) you will join a team dedicated to being the top emergency response unit in the world. Leaping from helicopters, swimming through raging seas, and saving victims whose lives are on the line, you will complete search and rescue missions in some of the most extreme environments imaginable. The motto of an Aviation Rescue Swimmer is “So others may live.” It is a testament to not only the selflessness of this job, but the honor, courage, and commitment it takes to do it well. • Cryptologic Technician Interpretive (CTI-ATF) — $15,000

• Cryptologic Technician Networks (CTN-ATF) — $5,000

• Explosive Ordnance (EOD-ATF) — $18,000

• Hospital Corpsman Advanced Technical Field (HM-ATF) — $18,000

Be anything from a medical assistant to a physical therapist, dental technician to a radiology technician or a behavioral health tech—whatever you choose, there are many doors into the medical field. • Information Systems Technician Submarines (ITS-ATF) — $15,000

• Machinist’s Mate Submarines (MMS-5YO) — $10,000

• Missile Technician (MT-AEF) — $5,000

• Nuclear Field (NUC-NF) | Electrician’s Mate Nuclear (EMN), Electronics Technician Nuclear (ETN), Machinist’s Mate Nuclear (MMN) — $38,000

As an Electronics Technician Nuclear, you operate and perform maintenance on the electronic systems that make the reactor on Navy ships run. • Special Warfare Boat Operator (SB-ATF) — $18,000

• Sub Electronics Computer Field (SECF-5YO) | Fire Control Technician (FT), Sonar Technician Submarines (STS), Electronics Technician Navigation (ETV), Electronics Technician Communications (ETR) — $15,000

**Enlistment Bonus Source Rates (EBSR) vary based on jobs. EBSR is earned and payable upon graduation from A or C school.

Student Loan Repayment Program

While the Navy is not currently offering student loan repayment for Enlisted rates, there may be other financial benefits and options available to you.
