Versa Networks, a global leader in AI/ML-powered Unified Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), who took home the Gold ‘ASTORS’ Award for Best Network Security Solution in AST’s 2021 Homeland Security Awards Program, has been ranked highest in the Large Global WAN Use Case, for the fourth year in a row, as published in the 2023 Gartner Critical Capabilities for SD-WAN report.
Versa is unique among SASE vendors, providing an end-to-end solution that simplifies and secures the modern network.
Based on VOS™, Versa SASE delivers broad capabilities via the cloud and on-premises for building agile and secure enterprise networks and highly efficient managed service offerings.
The Versa mission is to address the security and networking challenges that Enterprises and Service Providers face and connect branch offices, home offices, and users to applications wherever they exist.
Available via the cloud, on-premises, or as a blended combination, Versa SASE connects Enterprise branches, teleworkers, and end users securely and reliably to applications in the cloud or data centers worldwide.

In August 2023, Versa announced it had been recognized with the highest score for Network-Driven SASE in the inaugural 2023 Gartner® Critical Capabilities for Single-Vendor SASE report (Secure Access Service Edge). In addition, Versa was ranked among the top three vendors for the Basic SASE and SASE with Advanced Security Use Cases.
“Gartner defines single-vendor SASE offerings as those that deliver multiple converged-network and security-as-a-service capabilities, such as software-defined WAN (SD-WAN), secure web gateway (SWG), cloud access security broker (CASB), network firewalling and Zero Trust network access (ZTNA),” according to Gartner.
“These offerings use a cloud-centric architecture and are delivered by one vendor.”
With tens of thousands of customers, hundreds of thousands of sites, and many very large financial services, retailers, manufacturers, high-tech, public sector, and healthcare customers, Versa has demonstrated that it is the leader in delivering mission-critical secure networking solutions.
Customers look to Versa to help them solve some of their most challenging security and networking needs, including support for hybrid work models, multi-cloud connectivity, and mobile 5G and satellite networking.
“Versa has led the industry convergence of networking and security with a belief that security needs to be built into the network rather than bolted on,” explains Kelly Ahuja, CEO of Versa Networks.
“In today’s business environment, the infrastructure has grown in complexity, and affecting simplicity with (the) consolidation of vendors and consoles via a unified single-vendor SASE solution makes sense.”
“Some of the greatest benefits our customers receive from deploying Versa Unified SASE are an improved security posture, better application experience, improved operational efficiency, and lower TCO.”
Versa Networks has also been recognized as a Challenger in the inaugural 2023 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Single-Vendor SASE report. This report evaluated eight different vendors based on evaluation criteria, and Versa was recognized for its Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision.
“We are seeing increased interest in single-vendor SASE from organizations that want to simplify their branch technology stacks,” according to Gartner.
“It is particularly compelling for organizations making SD-WAN investments and extending the project to include firewalling, remote access, and other security capabilities.”
“This trend has expanded to SSE as well, as many buyers will switch from a best-of-breed purchasing motion to a default position that a single vendor is preferred even if they aren’t best of breed in all areas.”

Versa Networks simplifies how enterprises protect and connect their users, devices, and sites to workloads and applications – anywhere, anytime.
Cloud computing and hybrid work initiatives are pushing organizations to enable secure, anywhere, anytime access from any device. Unfortunately, legacy network architectures and perimeter-based security were never designed to support this approach, resulting in poor user security experiences and severe complexity problems for administrators.
Versa pioneered and delivered the first networking platform with security ‘built-in.’
The Versa Unified SASE Platform uniquely combines a comprehensive set of networking and security capabilities into a single converged platform with a unified console, policy, and data lake.
Its application-aware, traffic-engineered fabric simplifies the design, deployment, and life cycle management.
