Powered by LRAD’s proprietary XL driver technology and optimized to the 400 Hz – 7 kHz range to ensure every broadcast is clearly heard and understood, the LRAD DS-60XL has a 60° 900-meter range.
The LRAD DS-60 is modular enabling 60° to 360° broadcasts. When configured in a 360° ring array, the broadcast coverage area extends to 2.5 sq. kilometers.
The LRAD DS-60XL substantially exceeds all FEMA and UFC voice intelligibility requirements and offers the most flexible area coverage in the mass notification industry.

A six horn array provides a maximum coverage area of 2.5 Sq. Km.
LRAD’s optional compact, high efficiency amplifier cabinet includes an Ethernet based audio streaming device that enables exceptionally clear live or recorded message transmission across a TCP/IP network.
The Ethernet interface provides flexible communication and control for simple systems integration with IP enabled networks that modernizes mass notification installations and eliminates audio hissing and crackling.
By maintaining a smooth frequency response with an intensity variation of less than 5dB, LRAD has eliminated the limitations of other mass notifications systems by preventing audio fading and producing clear, unambiguous communication across all broadcast frequencies.
Flexible and easy to install and integrate, the Ethernet interface modernizes mass notification installations and eliminates audio hissing and crackling.
LRAD’s Streamer enables audio streaming to one or more LRAD DS-60X installation over a LAN.
Based on Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and U.S. Military United Facilities Criteria (UFC) guidelines, the minimum standard for high-powered speaker array (HPSA) mass notification systems is a 0.5 speech transmission index measurement.
