HALO Smart Sensor 3C
HALO Smart Sensor is a multifunctional health, safety, and vape detection device that allows users to capture comprehensive health & safety awareness for their buildings.
This worldwide leading vaping and privacy area detection device is now delivering comprehensive safety and security awareness using a carefully selected array of sensors in a cerebral network of metadata.
HALOs work together seamlessly and interact with each other as members of your team- responding and delivering information in real time.
(Meet HALO Smart Sensor, an IoT device that captures comprehensive health, safety, and vaping awareness. It is the #1 vape detector worldwide for vaping and vaping with THC detection. Courtesy of IPVideo Corporation and YouTube.)
It has become the industry leader in monitoring facility privacy areas as it does not use cameras, record audio, or capture any personally identifiable information (PII), to sense a multitude of readings, including gunshot detection, aggression detection, vape detection, and more.
HALO has been installed in facilities nationwide and expanding worldwide for its security capabilities, most prominently in schools.
“Our decision to select HALO was based on the versatility of the sensor and the positive reviews from other schools,” explains Samuel Cervantez of Castleberry School District.
“We also liked the simplicity of the product and how there were no re-occurring charges or fees associated with HALO.”
“We made the right decision deploying HALO within our school district as it’s protecting our school privacy areas and also providing security while protecting individual privacy.”
The HALO Smart Sensor 3C includes both a physical panic button and emergency spoken keyword alerting for users to quickly address threats via a mobile phone app or by spoken keyword.
HALO 3C also fully integrates with the all-new HALO Cloud app, where users can manage multiple HALO devices, receive push notifications, real-time Health Index and AQI (Air Quality Index) alerts, and see data all in one dashboard.
Motion, occupancy, and light sensors will alert staff of movement, or lack thereof, in areas of concern and will send tamper alerts when the HALO is covered.
In addition, tamper notifications are sent if one attempts to deactivate or destroy the device.
(HALO is an optional choice for those who want to manage and update multiple HALOs with a single keystroke. If you are interested in facility-wide trend analysis and reporting, find out why the HALO Cloud is for you! Courtesy of HALO Smart Sensor and YouTube.)
HALO 3C has a HALO of LED-colored lighting options that can be programmed to show escape routes for safety, such as a red, yellow, and green pattern.
There is also the ability to create unique colors for different alerts, such as purple for Air Quality alerts, or blue for Health alerts. The lights themselves are projected onto the ceiling around the HALO for extended visibility.
Audible sound and abnormal sound/aggression detection sensors work to quickly identify aggression and vandalism while in progress, and a gunshot detection sensor can initiate established lockdown protocols.
The HALO IoT Smart Sensor is manufactured in the U.S. and currently holds six patents with additional pending, a design trademark, and product certifications, including UL, CUL, CE, RoHS, FCC, WEEE, NRCS, ACMA, RCA, UKCA, VCCI, and KC.

SIMTactics
How would your organization handle an active shooter or impending tornado?
How would your company address a cyber-attack?
Can you answer these questions?
As security risks increase, federal, state, and local government agencies require more sophisticated tools for protecting their personnel and their facility.
SIMTactics helps you put confident answers to these questions and put your crisis plans to the test.
SIMTactics is a computerized crisis simulation software facilitated and distributed by True Security Design, a division of IPVideo Corporation, that helps organizations face potential disasters and deal with them in “simulated” real time – better preparing for the “real thing.”
SIMTactics provides a comprehensive approach to creating the safest possible environment for organizations and facilities. Live tabletop simulation services bring together modern technology and law enforcement experience to assess, educate and train organizations to be prepared for any crisis.
With simulated crisis management exercises through SIMTactics, you can put your current crisis plans to the test and ensure there is a seamless and well-understood plan in place.
(Learn how SIMTactics computerized crisis simulation software helps organizations face potential disasters and deal with them in “simulated” real time – better preparing for the “real thing.” Courtesy of IPVideo Corporation and YouTube.)
SIMTactics simulates decision-making scenarios focusing on real-life interactions, making this simulation as real as it gets. The software also offers real-time analytics & insights to enhance the user’s decision-making processes and compare real decision-making processes to “anticipated” ones.
Through the SIMTactics platform, organizations can upload their current crisis policies, where the software will then determine your expected actions during an emergency. The team of users then engages in a dynamic simulation exercise, such as an active shooter attack, weather emergency, cyber-attack, or natural disaster.
Through these exercises, the team of users during the simulation can respond to any emergency as they would in a real event based on the organization’s policy through communicating, decision-making, and overcoming obstacles in real-time and, therefore, under real stress.
Simulation exercises can be tailored specifically to any industry, ranging from school safety to government building environments.
SIMTactics utilizes artificial intelligence, or AI, to review each person’s actions from the simulation and puts together a set of analytics that allows the organization to find gaps in their crisis plans, as well as assess the performance of their members.
This crisis simulation allows organizations to eliminate gaps in their plans and prepare their personnel to respond in the best possible way in the unfortunate event of an emergency.
The system is capable of various training scenarios for all government-run facilities, including Active Shooter, Natural Disasters, Data Breaches, Terror Attacks, Cyber Incidents, and many more being constantly added to the system.
SIMTactics training brings realism, stress, and timeline to your training unlike anything else out there.

The pinnacle of the Annual ‘ASTORS’ Awards Program is the Annual ‘ASTORS’ Awards Ceremony Luncheon Banquet, an exclusive, full-course plated meal event, in the heart of New York City.
This year’s exclusive sold-out ‘ASTORS’ luncheon featured representatives of law enforcement, public safety, and industry leaders who came together to honor the selfless service of those who stand on the front lines, and those who stand beside them – providing the capabilities and technologies to create a safer world for generations to come.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which came out in force, to discuss comprehensive collaborations between private and public sectors that have led to the development of intelligence and technologies which serve to protect our nation.
The continually evolving ‘ASTORS’ Awards Program emphasized the trail of Accomplished Women in Leadership in 2022, as well as the Significance and Positive Impact of Advancing Diversity and Inclusion in our Next Generation of Government and Industry Leaders.
The keynote address was provided by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations (OFO) Deputy Executive Assistant Commissioner (DEAC) Diane Sabatino, who described the changes to CBP through the tragedy of 9/11 and the relentless commitment to its mission and ongoing investment in the latest technologies and innovations to protect our borders and Homeland.
The resounding theme of the DEAC’s remarks was her pride in the women and men of the CBP and their families who support them.
AST was also joined by Legendary Police Commissioner William Bratton, who spoke, as always, about his love for the City of New York, the Profession of law enforcement to which he has dedicated his life, and for which he continues to drive thought leadership and innovation.
New York City Police Department (NYPD) Chief of Department Kenneth Corey, came out to address Luncheon attendees and shared some of his experiences and the changes in policing he’s witnessed over his more than three decades of service.
FDNY Chief Joseph Jardin honored the men and women of the FDNY, not only those who currently serve but all of those who have selflessly served, with special recognition of those lost on 9/11.
Chief Jardin spoke about the continuing health battle of many following 9/11 with cancer and respiratory disease, yet now knowing the full consequences, would not have made a different decision to respond.
As Chief Jardin noted, mission-driven service is in the lifeblood of every firefighter, volunteer and sworn and has been so throughout the history of the Fire Service.
