Inmate Tymetri Campbell who was serving jail time for three murders, was being escorted to a common area of the facility when he attacked a corrections officer. Lieutenant Eugene Lasco, 57, jumped in to assist the officer when he was fatally stabbed by the prisoner. Lieutenant Lasco is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren as well.
